“Lovely little deli with delicious food and drink.”
Reviewed July 12, 2013 via mobile

Dropped upon this little deli on our way back from glen ord. The food arrived quickly and was delicious. I can recommend the ploughmans platter and the black pudding salad. Very resonably priced.

Fantastic staff, wonderful of produce, interesting and varied menu, our platters were really tasty and very well presented, and disappeared in a flash!! Great coffee. All round a very positive lunchtime experience. Definitely worth a visit.

“Oh dear!”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

On arrival very nice spot to have lunch outside on a beautiful day, waited about 30minutes for my sandwich and the soup arrived cold, although the wee girl did return with a fresh lot! Was very nice and relaxed until the lady which looked like the manager had accused an old lady maybe in her 70's of pinching cutlery! I thought it was a joke at first but the woman was serious! I was appalled! The women tried to prove her innocence, but the lady wouldn't listen! It put myself and husband of our meal! Very disappointing and will not return!!

“Relaxed atmosphere”
Reviewed July 7, 2013

I'd been to the Corner on the Square before for lunch and we have bought quiche etc for eating at home, but we hadn't been in the evening before.

Last orders are at 8.30, so I thought it would be good for us, so we wouldn't be too late, as we had our young teen daughter with us. The menu is the same as the daytime menu, with the addition of hot specials. The specials list had four or five different options for mains and three desserts.

We had the mezze and antipasti platters for starters to share between the 5 of us, three mains off the specials list and a chowder and salad off the normal menu, followed by one dessert brownie with ice cream from the deli display and a couple of cheese platters. Wine is off the shelf with a standard £4 corkage charge per bottle, with a large choice and informed staff recommendations

We ended up staying until nearly half past ten, but although the doors were shut by then, we never felt rushed to leave. In fact, when we apologised for holding them back, the staff said they had plenty to keep them busy in the kitchen and to stay as long as we liked! The servings were amply generous and the food was good, although our daughter wasn't keen on the chowder and left nearly half of it.

“Good food - Very Slow Service”
Reviewed July 6, 2013

At 2.15 on a Saturday afternoon I really don't expect to have to wait nearly 30 minutes for my meal to arrive. The cafe was busy but not over busy. The food is good, but due to the very slow service it will some time before I return.
