Very scenic, a great thrill. Interesting sights from the gondola as well as the restaurant at the top. Price for the ride up and down very good but the price for a coffee a bit much.

“Heatwawe in Scotland”
Reviewed July 18, 2013

For lowlanders as my family and myself it is always fascinating to look at mountains. But to get to the top often costs a lot of energy. But a guided tour to the of the Caingorm does not have to be too hard. Take the funicular from the rangerstation and walk the rest to a spectacular view from the summit. Get informed about alpine plants, drink clear water form the source and enjoy the fresh and cool mountain air.
Normally the view might be restricted by a certain precipitation known as Scottish rain, but don´t despair we were there in the middle of a heatwawe in Scotland.

“Guided walk was excellent”
Reviewed July 15, 2013

The top of the Cairngorm mountain is an environmentally sensitive area and home to very rare breeding birds so the hoards of tourists arriving by funicular do not have the right to roam all over the tops. This is reserved for people who walk up from the bottom. However, guided walks for a small number of people twice a day are being trialled and are excellent. They are inexpensive and include the train ride up. Bird watchers in particular will enjoy the close views of Dotterel and Ptarmigan and the scenery of course is stunning. Booking essential.

“Stunning Views”
Reviewed July 13, 2013

Easy to get to by car, and local bus looks like it'll get you there also. Stunning views from the car park area and facilities to cater for all. Trip on the funicular to the restaurant viewing platform area is a must for anyone visiting this stunningly beautiful area.
