The restaurant is open three evenings a week and has a changing menu of three choices for each of three courses. The cooking is first rate providing high quality food that appeared to be locally sourced and ethically sound. Service was outstanding and personal. The staff really care. The ambience was lively and buzzy without being noisy.

Lovely meal, lovely food, superb wine and not overpriced. We don't live near the restaurant but it is certainly worth the effort.

Delightful little restaurant in the Rothiemurchus centre, only open three nights per week. A cafe by day and an intimate dining space in the evening, run by a completely different team.

Food was just lovely, all freshly prepared and cooked to perfection. Good affordable wine list. Staff very efficient and friendly.

Will definitely return next time we are in Aviemore.

One Pot Borrowed is located in the Rothiemurchus centre...Its a cafe by day and then is One Pot Borrowed by night...and what a transformation! The ambienance is perfectly pitched with soft lighting and art work & photography on the walls, the staff were really helpful and very welcoming. The food was beautiful, the menu changes on a weekly basis to keep in tune with seasonal produce and as a result the dishes are inventive and outstanding! The menu had three starters, mains and deserts which may not seem like a lot, but everthing was such a high standard that it was all fabulous! We had a wonderful evening and enjoyed everthing about it!
I'm definately happy to recommend it to any and everyone!

This is such a great place, with excellent food sourced locally... and also really enthusiastic, helpful and basically lovely staff. Somehow it's even more of a precious thing because it only opens three evenings a week.

There is a limited menu, but it's really good. For my main I had excellent herb-crusted halibut one night, and also some super-tender and extra tasty slow roasted pork another. It's a little expensive, but worth it (in my opinion!). They will do all they can to accommodate special tastes and needs, but those with small children may find that there's really only bangers and mash. That may be just fine, but families need to know in advance what's what.
