Just back from our third visit and had a great time once again. We arrived at 11am having just checked out from the Macdonald hotel, thankfully. We were given a room immediately (away from the kitchen extractor as requested since this had kept me awake one time previously) and were able to get straight on with enjoying ourselves. The family suites are great, not all of the same standard I have to say although they are all clean and comfortable and the separate kids room is a real bonus. Our boys love watching kids tv in the bunk beds before they get up. I did not encounter one member of staff who wasn't pleasant and professional and whether they were Scottish or not, all tried their very best to deliver the best possible service. Pool area is in need of upgrading but we knew this and it doesn't detract from our fun. Kids entertainment in the evening is fantastic, our boys are not ones for clubs and things but they loved going to see the movie with their popcorn and drinks and then to see Mr Bubbles the clown or the magician. Meals are ok. Not the best but again, we know this and there is always something you can try. If not the Terracotta Bistro has better food at a supplement. We are happy to lower our expectations in this as the hotel has so much else to offer. I think most of the people who have negative things to say about the hotel seem to be couples expecting 4* luxury but this is not the appeal of Coylumbridge for most families. It is the luxury of staying somewhere with great facilities for kids with the added bonus of being able to sit and have a glass of wine in the knowledge that the whole family is enjoying themselves. We will definitely be back.

From start to finish we had a great stay at the Hilton Coylumbridge. The staff were friendly and very helpful offered lots helpful advice.
On the first night we ate in the lounge bar with out three year old, the food was very good although the childrens menu was rather limited and drinks were a little expensive.
There was lots to do even on a wet day, and we spend lost of time on pool and the fun house which is next to the hotel.
Breakfast was really good and relaxed especially as many of the guests had children, lots of choice and once again teh staff woulkd offer help when required.
Children entertainment was available most evenings and there were welcome in teh lounge/bar area at night to listen to music etc.
Overall a great stay

Excellent stay (third time) at Coylumbridge. Fine something new to do each time we come to Aviemore and on the wet days our son (6) is happy to go to the pool and the Fun House. Lovely food (especially at breakfast - you could "graze" for hours!) and friendly staff. We upgraded to a family suite this time and found it was worth the little bit extra to have a separate sleeping area for our son. One tiny concern was the noise at the back of the hotel near the tennis courts.

Expect to queue for forever only to be greeted by the most unpleasant reception staff you could wish to meet....don't complain though as the manager will be one of them so isn't interested!!

Family orientated, the kids loved the disco and the pool, some parents seem to think its acceptable to let their kids run riot whilst they sit and get drunk though, that alone is enough to put me off going back.

The food was good in the restaurants though! Venison was especially tasty.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights as we were skiing. Were able to check-in early (11am) as our skiing had been cancelled that day, although had to wait for an hour until our room was ready. Friendly staff at reception. Paid £140 per night DBB. Thought this was expensive for what we got but it was the Easter holidays. I ordered extras (fruit, wine etc) to be in our room to surprise my other half on arrival but we got a phone call at 6pm that evening apologising for them not being there - we cancelled the order. Dinner was very rushed on all evenings - food was in front of you as soon as you laid down your cutlery - and as we did not book a table on our second night we could not get a table until 9.45pm - a bit late to eat for us. Great breakfast though!. Very noisy hotel with children but lots for them to do. Nothing for adults though. There was no quiet area for adults to just sit and read a book and no fitness centre either. We were on the second floor and the corridor was very smelly. Room was small, bathroom was not wiped down on the second day (and toiletries were not topped up at all). We kind of expected a bit more from a Hilton to be honest.
