Lovely hotel, staff were excellent, especially with the children. Ate in the Bistro one night which was excellent and the next night ate in the main restaurant and had the itallian buffet. It was brilliant. lots of choice, fresh made pizza and ice cream with lots of sweets to finish!! Perfect! Our 3 year old had a ball. Only small downside was price of drinks. £8 for a large rose wine. I do find these prices a tad expensive but as the rate for the room on a dbb basis was so good then it really did all balance out. If you are looking for some relaxing family time away i would def book this hotel.

We have stayed here every year for last 8 years and just here Friday, Saturday past. Great as always. I don't understand why people complain obout this hotel. I mean if it was a dirty midden of a place with nothing going for it then I would complain, but its not. It's a great family get away and the hotel itself is great. 2 swimming pools, gym, sauna, hotel grounds has a fun house with indoor adventure golf, bowling, soft play, amusements,American diner etc. there is also and outdoor activity park with a dry ski slope wall climbing etc.,and its own woodshed bar. Adults only after 8pm. It's great. The main hotel has 2 restaurants offering a great array of foods from 5.30pm until 9.30pm. Never had an issue with the food. Breakfast is the best you will get anywhere.
Now if I had a small gripe it would be that the room bathrooms could do with a makeover but they are clean and that's the important part. Bar prices are expensive and vary from the woodshed to the main hotel bar. Example. Jack d and coke woodshed bar for 2 = £7.00 same at main hotel bar £9.00 an explanation from the manager would be good. There is no reason for it to be different. A standard glass of rosé wine. = £8.00. You get 2 bottles of rosé for that at leading supermarkets. Actually I'm complaining so I better stop.

We will return later in the year and next year and the following year. Our kids love it and so do we.

We stayed in April for 2 nights for my son's 4th birthday. Wasn't sure what to expect having read reviews but we had a great weekend. Our room was clean and all we needed, 2 double beds - would like to have seen the bigger family rooms but didn't think to ask actually. Food was good. Soft play for kids, outdoor play and swimming all suited my kids who are only 6 and 4. Staff were all very helpful too, all in all a good weekend and now hoping to go back for daughter's 7th birthday in August.

This was a family holiday, first trip away with our 18 month old son, and we ended up with a mixed review. the location of this hotel was excellent, all the facilities are also top notch, excellent gym and pool, good games room for older kids, play park out back and a large soft play centre with built in American themed diner, however the room left a little to be desired, it was a family suite we got and it was stifilingly hot during our whole stay, the radiator was broken, this got fixed but the heat remained to the point where it was very uncomfortable to sleep at nights, the bed was also very squeaky and hard so not too comfortable but would have been bearable but not for the heat. The food in the main restaurant was good and breakfast was excellent, prices at the bar reasonable for beer, very expensive for wine.

We were two couples wanting to tour and hike in the highlands of Scotland. Our location at the Hilton Coylumbridge was perfect. The staff in the hotel was very helpful and the hotel lobby was warm and inviting, a nice place to relax while catching up on the Internet.. Our chalet was clean and well appointed. The kitchen and bathrooms were new and fresh. But the decor in the rest of the chalet was sort of dreary and outdated. In a part of the world where weather can often be grey and rainy, I think it is really important for travellers (like us) to be in surroundings that are fresh, bright and up to date.

Room Tip: Check on the view - some chalets face the river - make sure you aren't facing the parking lot.
