“Excellent food, service, comfortable surroundings and views.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 10, 2011

We often visit the Cafaidh on our way up north from Glasgow as we got fed up having to queue in the stairs at the Mountain Cafe. The quality of the food is excellent and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The views are fantastic and the general atmosphere is very relaxing. We thoroughly recommend this place for breakfast, lunches or just coffee and cake!

“Great place for a fresh cooked breakfast with a view!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 31, 2011

I've passed this a few times previously, and as I was staying in a nearby chalet for a couple of nights thought I'd give it a try for breakfast.
We got there around 10am and we were the only people there, got the 'Wee Breakfast' which was a smaller Scottish fry up. I could see into the kitchen where it all got cooked fresh - not just heated up - so it hadn't been lying around. Tasted great! Approx £15 for two people including coffee (they will give you free porridge if you order anything from the menu!)
Really enjoyed the food, and the view from the window towards Cairngorm where we could see the first dusting of snow coming down was great!

“Amazing!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 28, 2011

I hired skis from Active for a group of people when they were finished getting fitted they could nip up stairs for a lovely coffee whilst the rest of the group were getting sorted out.
The group enjoyed it so much we ended up going back for more coffee and some lovely cake, there was such a seletion it was hard just to pick one!
At the end of the weekend we finshed up have a more yummy coffee and cake before heading home.
This is now the only cafe I go to when I am in the area.

back in aviemore again and another excellent lunch. Huge queue at the mountain cafe and this place was empty! Soon filled up though. Great homemade soup, tasty lamb burgers , lovely smoothies, great panini with top quality ham/chilli jam. I love this place, great book selection even a few kids books. C'mon aviemore support this place!
