The food is delicious with a good atmosphere and it is easy to see that the staff work their socks off, but I do wish other diners wouldn't abandon their children when they come through the doors. It is a cafe..NOT a creche. On my few visits I have noticed every time that there are abandoned small children crawling about unsupervised , getting in the way of the servers, (who are usually carrying hot drinks) and are doing their best to avoid the rug rats. It is not their job to look after diners kids they clearly have enough to do. I would never allow my kids to do that, they have paper and crayons to keep them busy, if you choose to take you're children in it is you're responsibility to keep them entertained. Theres plenty of yummy things to eat to keep them quiet

Was in for coffee and cake whilst passing through aviemore. The coffee was bitter but the cake was ok, nothing special. The staff were polite but would suggest that the should check on there tables. Will just stick to my regular cafe in future.

We came here by chance, having intended to eat in the Rothiemurchus Centre which was closed for its annual "deep clean". They recommended the Mountain Cafe and the rest, as they say, is history.

This is the perfect cafe, which so many attempt to imitate but fail. The food is excellent!

Please open one in our town!

This cafe is always busy, so don't be put off queueing down the stairs for a table. The food is good and the staffing level is also usually good. Kids have a healthy choice and the menu is excellent and the cakes always look good - I just can't afford to try them.

Food at the mountain cafe is always great. It's popularity is now a problem and being left standing on the stairs for over an hour to get a table spoilt the whole experience. Some que management or book in time is now overdue,
