“Excellent Value for Money”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 4, 2009

Recently stayed in Aviemore and ate several times at Roo's Leap.
The service was good. Staff friendly, helpful and quick.
Food is fresh and cooked to order.
Portions are generous. Bob's monster burger is HUGE. Chicken satay and jamaican jerked chicken are lovely. Kids portions are also generous.
The only complaint was that there is no air conditioning. It was very hot whilst we were there - up to 30 degrees - and the restaurant was a bit too warm for comfort. Portable fans may help.
All in all excellent value for money and highly recommended.

LIKED: value for money, fresh ingredients cooked to order
DISLIKED: No air conditioning.

“"Very Disappointing"”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 21, 2009

After reading many reviews about this restaurant my husband and i were looking forward to sharing a meal at this restaurant. We ordered the Cajun Chicken with Pasta. When our meal arrived i was 1st of all surprised to be served with Linguini Pasta to accompany this dish and the dinner itself did not look at all appetising, it looked like my dinner had been cooked & served up in a busy kitchen that was understaffed!. I struggled to eat my meal but found that a majority of it remained on my plate. When the waiter removed our dishes there were no questions asked as to the amount of food left on my plate and being a waitress myself i was NOT impressed with the service. The meal including 2 drinks came to £27.95 and personally was not worth it, I WON'T be taking a leap through it's doors anytime again!.

“Excellent spot”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 24, 2009

We arrived here about 8pm on a Saturday, nervous that we wouldn't get in with a child. When we were greeted, we were told that we would have a 20 minute wait, and were given seats, the waiter got us drinks and gave us a look at the menu, and took our order.

When our table became available, our starters were with us within seconds, nice and hot too, so they had been cooked with perfect timing for our table becoming available. Very impressive. The meals were lovely, service great and very good value. no complaints at all.

“Great place to eat”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 13, 2009

This is the first place you see when you get off the train at Aviemore, but this is no station buffet! Excellent, varied menu, although not as much aussie tucker as the name suggests. We dined with three teenage boys and they all found something on the menu which they enjoyed. The food was all beautifully cooked, and well presented, and extremely tasty. Nice decor and nice informal atmosphere. First class service. Highly recommended!
