Nice food, big portions, not very Ozzie.
Had a mix of food nachos, steak, burger, ribs. All good and massive portions. Took take out ;-)
Friendly staff.
Not very Ozzie.... Menu & atmosphere.
Lacks a bit of ambience due to decor & lighting.

Visited the Roos Leap as we've never tasted the burgers there. To be fair, the food was lovely, very generous portions. However service needs a bit of work.

Our wine glasses came straight from a dish washer, and hadn't been dried properly. After our meal had been delivered we were wished by our server to enjoy our meal as she was walking away. Presumably as she was away to gossip with the other servers. Something that happened throughout the meal and was annoying as we were just beside the bar. I don't wish to hear of staff plans for the rest of the weekend... There seemed to be a lot of waiting staff for a maximum of 50-60 covers. They weren't that busy either.
We got our bill pretty quickly after it was requested, but had to wait an age to get to the payment collected.
We would return, and hopefully the service is a bit better. Can really recommend the burgers and the fries with it were excellent too.

Always stop here for a burger or ribs when on holiday. Burgers are tasty and big make sure you are hungry enough to finish it all up.

Aberdeen chain tempting visitors with a touch of Oz. However, ribs are very USA and are excellent - not over rich and a great tasting dinner

The food here is very tasty, and comes in huge quantities. The Australian theme seems to affect the decor more than the food - the main dishes focus mostly on steaks, burgers etc although there are some other specialities, the Aussies are certainly keen on a barbie but most of the menu would be equally at home in America, particularly the cajun and tex-mex stuff. If you were hoping for some kangaroo steak you'll be disappointed! One item which I've only seen in Aussie-themed restaurants is the Onion Blossom, which is highly recommended - an onion cut so it opens like a flower then battered and fried, so you can break "petals" off to dip in sauce.
Location is convenient in the centre of Aviemore, presumably the space used to be part of the railway station. The restaurant doesn't have its own parking, there are some (free) spaces close by outside the station, but at busy times I'd suspect you'll have a couple of minutes walk from the nearest available parking.
Prices are very reasonable, particularly given the size of the portions.
