“Decent tucker”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 27, 2013

A good all round menu on offer and reasonably priced - you can check it out online. A good selection of starters ranging from Nachos to Potato skins, buffalo wings to Soup a Roo. Mains consisted of Mexican, Steaks, burgers and salads to choose from along with specialities like Aussie Fish and chips and BBQ Pork rib dinner. There's something for the little Joeys and good selection of drinks for the bigger Joeys.
A pleasant experience. Visited on Aug 17th 2013

“Don't pass it by.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 26, 2013

As a family we have visited Aviemore in the summer for years but never stopped to check out the menu at Roo's Leap. We went this year and I cant wait to go back. We managed to get a table before a queue began forming. The waitress was brilliant and helped me choose the Chicken Satay. She described the dish perfectly and it lived up to my expectations. Our children had Nachos and the salsa etc was served in separate pots which they requested. The burgers looked amazing coming out of the kitchen and I know I will be having one next time. There was a hen party on when we were there so its good for groups like that too.

“Excellent family dining!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 18, 2013

We visited on 16/08/2013 after not being able to get a seat a few days previous(we didn't book).
We had nachos starter which easily fed four of us two adults and two young kids(2 and 5), we then had queensland chicken, missisippi burger and the kids had ribs and a mexican cheese sandwich all of which were VERY GOOD, as was the service and range of food on the menu.

Clean and welcoming I would definitely recommend to anyone considering a visit and will no doubt return when I am in the area in the future.

“Good venue for the family”

We had an enjoyable meal here. We both had the Mexican burger which was tasty. Kids enjoyed their food - spaghetti bolognaise and chicken pieces. Nothing special but pleasant enough. Drinks were reasonably priced. The service was excellent, staff very friendly and attentive.

“Average”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 7, 2013 via mobile

After arriving late at our hotel, we hot footed it into town and found a table at Roo's Leap. We were lucky - this appeared to be the only place to get food in Aviemore after 9.15pm!

This is an Australian themed restaurant - but there's no sign of kangaroo!

We had soup and potato skins for starter, burger and nachos for mains and cheesecake for dessert.

The food was average but the service was very good. Without the service, we may have rated this restaurant lower.
