It was snowing when we visited in May, so this added to the atmosphere. we visted during the day, and did not do the evening dining experience, but that is something I would love to do.
The restaurant has fantastic views of the mountains, and I am not surprised that getting a table in here can sometimes be difficult. We have been in here during the skiiing season, and there was not a table free. Indeed the chap at the funicular said that at times, people just sat on the floor. Our visit in May was fairly quiet though.
The food is varied, with a good selection of hot food, and for breifer stops, coffee, tea, hot chocolate and cakes. Perfect for warming one up after being outside.
Due to how busy it is during the skiing season, I would not recommend this place for a sightseeing visit during the season; visit during the summer, as you will get a seat, good views, and you might even be surprised at the snow. There is always wildlife spotting if it doesn't snow.
