As said before furnishings in bit of a time warp but didn't matter a bit to us. We were a party of 7 adults, a child of 4, 2 dogs and we had a ball. Stunning location to wake up to every morning, So quiet and peaceful. Beds extremely comfortable, showers great, wifi excellent, everything you could possibly need in the kitchen, dishwasher, crockery etc, could do with a large non stick frying pan and perhaps a bigger fridge for a party of 8 but these would be my only suggestions. Everything else catered for. Made use of the bikes left for us. There was board games, books etc, we had taken a fire stick so watched movies at night after dinner.
Make sure you visit the tree swing just before the cottage, great fun. Brought a shop with us but plenty choice in the Spar at lochcarron if you don't. Had a BBQ in front garden with beautiful views and a fire on beach toasting marshmallows another night.
Great base for touring. Visited Applecross and had lunch at the Inn, highlight of that day was driving the pass, and the deserted Sand beach where Monty Hall filmed his tv programme. Went to the Fairy Pools in Skye, took the train from Strathcarron to Plockton and went out on Calum's boat to see the seals. Ate at Kishorn Seafood Bar, Lochcarron Bistro, Waterside Cafe for breakfast one morning, Lochcarron Hotel, all good. Went to local market in village hall, last Saturday of every month, great stalls with local things to buy, oh and Prince Charles happened to pop in while we were there!! Attadale Gardens is a must. Had a fantastic week
and would throughly recommend Maranatha Cottage. Everything we needed and more.

“Idyllic, Spectacular Scenery, an excellent venue for a family holiday.”
Reviewed June 11, 2016 for a stay in June 2016

The cottage and the furnishings are in a "time warp" which is what makes it so charming, the scenery from the front garden is spectacular, (the 24 degrees of sunshine every day added to the overall experience) if you can live without a promenade with bars and restaurants serving "English Breakfast" and if the weather is good, this is heaven on earth. The road to Applecross will test your driving skills and less than 15 minutes drive will take you to Lochcarron a beautiful spotlessly clean and well presented Village with an excellent award winning Spar. There is a Garage with a shop selling "Mrs McLuckie's Free Range Eggs" The "Wee" Cafe as we came into Lochcarron from Manantha Cottage serves an excellent Breakfast at a very reasonable cost and most enjoyable. We visit again, Thanks to all concerned. Ronnay Wilson

A great place to stay , kids wandered about the bay safely and loved it. 'Bealach Na Ba' is fantastic to view in all weathers and a great drive. Great for touring Skye , Applecross penisular and Torridon. Also lots of art and craft places to visit in Loch Carron which also has 2 decent food shops. Cottage is very warm and cosy. The Two Bathrooms are downstairs as is one of the bedrooms , which was great for us. would go back again anytime and want to now!

“Excellent cottage, excellent facilities, stunning scenery.”

Cottage in excellent setting, ideal for hillwalking Torridon, Glen Shiel and Skye.
The cottage very clean and tidy, and actually has two showers rather than the one it's says on trip advisor.
Ideal for 7 people any more would be overly crowded.
Kitchen really well equipped only negative was the fridge was too small for a party of 7 and the freezer was tiny and part of fridge.
Wi-fi excellent and the coal fire an added bonus.
Will definitely be back.

very well equipped, clean and pretty cottage: kitchen has got everything you may need during a holiday; sitting room is cosy with books and plenty of sitting space; two bathrooms with electric showers, one with washing machine and tumble drier; bedrooms are all comfortable (there are two roomy doubles, one triplet and one small single); peaceful location overlooking a remote beautiful loch. If you need a cut-off time from buzzing life, this is the place. Come with your food shop as there is just a small Despar in Lochcarron, that is close but not so close! Or enjoy the near by Kishorn Cafe (best seafood ever!! and fudge cake also very yummy)

“Comfortable Cottage in Stunning Location”
Reviewed August 25, 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Comfortable cottage with good mattresses, good heating and good facilities.
Exceptionally well-equipped kitchen with plenty of large pots/pans and almost every item of crockery imaginable.
Plumbing and appliances are mostly quite old but work well.
Rare combination of wi-fi, dishwasher and real fire is very welcome.
Location on the edge of Loch Kishorn with a view overlooking the Applecross Hills is beautiful!

A clarification on some of the specification details:
There are two double bedrooms with king-size beds, one triple room (with three single beds), one single room and an additional pull out camp bed.
There is one full bathroom with bath+shower, sink & toilet, the second "bathroom" just has a sink & toilet, but there are also useful wash basin sinks in each of the three larger bedrooms and a utility room.

The cottage is ideal for groups of 4-6, might be slightly cramped for 7-9 but would work.
