“quiet Sunday night dinner”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 20, 2013

dined on a mid November Sunday evening with my wife and daughter, Food was fresh, simple, hot and well served. Will return. Don't know if the £14.5pp menu wasn't available as bill was £75 (with no wine or bar drinks), but didn't grumble as it was very good quality.

“Superb treat”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 9, 2013 via mobile

I visited the restaurant twice in the past week and found it to be fantastic on both occasions. The food is wonderfully fresh and presented beautifully by staff who are exceptionally attentive and friendly. Any kitchen that has a window which faces a busy main street and where you can see food being cooked is surely proud of its food and has nothing to hide. I would have no reservation in visiting this restaurant again.

“An unexpected delight”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 8, 2013

Booked this on the reviews of trip advisor - we were a little concerned on arrival as the area & outside appearance didn't do justice to the restaurant. The service, table linen, ambience & food were excellent. We ate from the set lunch menu which was such good value, & the food was all lovely.Would definitley recommend.

“A great find!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 15, 2013

We managed to stumble cross the Two Fat Ladies after coming out of the Kelvingrove Museum. The food was fabulous and, at £14.50 for two courses, it was great value. Small touches like real napkins on the table and vintage cutlery and crockery made for a different but relaxed experience. The food was really tasty and there was plenty of it. We will definitely be back!

“Delicious lunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 4, 2013

Friday lunchtime and we were the only customers however we were extremely well provided for. A bottle of chilled water and some bread with oil and balsamic arrived as soon as we were settled comfortably at our table.
Glasses of red and white wine were ordered and appeared after a short interval. We both ordered from the set lunch menu which offered a non fish starter and main course as well as a choice of fish dishes. My plate of mussels in cream and white wine were very tasty and a good sized portion my wife's goats cheese salad starter was nicely presented and equally tasty. My sea bream fillets with olive mash and pesto were excellent - a well balanced combination of flavours. The chicken stuffed with cream cheese and tomato and wrapped in bacon was equally delicious. A very generous bowl of potatoes with roasted courgettes, carrots and onions accompanied the mains.
At £14.50 a head for the 2 courses this is really good value. Will definitely eat here again
