The hotel was clean and modern and staff were friendly. They also allow pets. Its surrounded by places to eat and a Cinema. We stayed in the hotel after a concert. It was easy to get to from the subway station(about a 10 minute walk) and the taxi back from the O2 academy was about £3.Would stay there again.

The room is compact. no kettle but took my own.

Spoke to housekeeper and request another towel and pillow. (only two towels for 3 people). These never materialised. I had brought a spare towel so used that instead. it is such a hassle having to go down to reception and back up in the lift. no tel in room to contact reception.
the lift is very temperamental to get it to activate using your card to go to your specific floor.

overall the room was clean, warm, sufficient for one night ,...... but very noisy when the pubs empty and people making there way back to rooms. lots of door slamming.
breakfast in the morning was fine. i needed a few espressos' to boost me due to lack of sleep.

it is well placed for eating, attending secc and evening entertainment in quay complex.

entrance to the hotel is a bit off putting to be honest it was pretty grotty, with fag ends, debris, phlegm lying about.

never in my life have i experienced anything like this hotel. to start with the entrance is more like a social gathering and reception is located on the 6th floor. the elevators Eisenstein would struggle to work out. room was very small beds uncomfortable toilet seems to be located in a cupboard and sink is separate shower room door is transparent little to no privacy if sharing which i was. power sockets located on the other side of the room from mirrors. only one seat which would be better suited in a garden. tv only had two channels, one pillow for each guest and i have thicker towels than the quilt which is provided. the evening was terrifying once we returned from our show at the secc we had been asleep for about an hour. when the whole floor descended in to chaos.between the hour off 1am and 7 am females fighting males fighting. these people also seemed to be taking part in some sort of race up and down the main hall way. no telephone in room had to use my mobile to use internet to find number of hotel as they had taken my documentation on check in. to contact reception about noise however no answer on several attempt. we were that terrified we decided to use the toilet door and previously mentioned garden chair as a barricade in case some one tried to enter our room. to let u understand i am a mental health nurse and do not scare easily i was staying in the place with my mother it was totally shocking. once reported on morning staff were pleasant enough. too little too late.

Room Tip: dont stay here

We travelled over 100 miles and had a room booked with our party. The Ibis is located in a complex with several eaterie's, bingo hall, casino, cinema etc and has ample parking, it also has a car park under the building which we intended using as we had some expensive equiptment with us but unfortunately our van wouldnt fit into the car park and we felt a bit uneasy leaving it out in the open car park. We didnt have to check in as one of our party had already picked up the room passes which are needed to access the room doors, main doors and lift. Our room was located on the 7th floor and had a double bed with a single bunk on top ,although compact and clean it was all you needed for a one nights stay. The shower is in the room just next to a small sink and there is a small cupboard with a toilet in it. TV with remote ( no kettles in the rooms ) which I must admit I really fancied a coffee when we arrived. We attended our function then decided that we would rather drive home than risk leaving a van full of equiptment in an open car park, so sadly didnt get the chance to sleep there overnight. One thing that was a bit conserning was when we arrived back to the hotel about 1am to collect our belongings there seemed to be a few suspicious looking females hanging around, both outside the building and in the lifts. ( we drew our own conclusion why they were there ) . In all the Ibis is all you need for a short stay, its clean and comfortable.

Room Tip: bring a travel kettle and cups.

The room was clean, staff friendly, and they had coffee and tea! You can not beat the prices that they offer and the location was within walking distance of City Centre. The only drawback is the shower was in the middle of the room; a bit awkward if you are traveling with friends of the opposite gender. The staff, especially the front desk were very helpful in navigating transportation and calling private hire cars for you.

Room Tip: Rooms away from the lift are quieter
