“The real deal.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 7, 2013 via mobile

Stumbling into Roma Mia it is easy to forget you are on the south side. The food, ambience and service is not just reminiscent of a top notch Roman family restaurant it is the real thing magically transported to Glasgow.

It is evident that the chefs are using the best meat, seafood and produce Scotland has to offer and Roma Mia must surely be the best Italian restaurant in Glasgow.

Front of house the service is attentive and friendly and shows that this is a family business where the staff are knowledgeable, passionate and enthusiastic.
Whether it is a dinner for two, a family gathering, or a fun night with a gaggle of pals, this restaurant ticks all the boxes.

I was recommended Roma Mia by some good friends and having eaten there twice in as many weeks I am hooked.
Whilst not particularly cheap you very much get what you pay for in the quality of the food and wine so it is definitely good value.

Can't wait to return.

“Absolutely First Class!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 30, 2013

We have just celebrated my husband's 40th birthday at The Roma Mia after reading the reviews on here and deciding it was the best Italian Restaurant in Glasgow. We weren't wrong.
From our first email enquiry the proprietor Michael was friendly, informative & made it clear that they would do everything possible to make the night special. We booked a table for sixteen people, meaning the staff had a lot of orders all at once to contend with. They were all brilliant and made us feel totally at home. They were cheerful, chatty, funny and very attentative - even bringing out an unexpected cake and candle with an eruption of a chorus of Happy Birthday to you for the birthday boy. We were thrilled and had a fantastic & fun night. We couldn't have asked for better hosts and every dish served was out of this world. The food was simply to die for - authentic, delivered freshly cooked and stunningly presented. Every person there commented on how great the food was. Some people in the group lived nearby and had never been in because, it is so out of the way it's not what you expect to find. It is a complete hidden gem! Thank you to Michael and all the staff for a memorable and enjoyable night. We shall no doubt all see you again!

“Hands down best Italian in Scotland!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 19, 2013

Visited for the first time 6 years ago after a recommendation by a friend. Have been back at least twice a month ever since. The food served is second to none, with nothing on the menu disappointing me. They even made a dish for me that wasn't on the menu. The service is impeccable, all the staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is brilliant. The staff even have a wee sing song when they're serving.

Definitely give it a try!

“best italian in glasgow.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 17, 2013

I have been going to Roma Mia for years now. It is simply not just the best Italian in Glasgow but if fact the best restaurant in Glasgow. They have fed my kids from toddlers onwards and I can't recommend them highly enough.
