Description: The original La Bonne Auberge first opened its doors on Bastille Day in 1975, and it's had something to celebrate ever since. Glasgow's first French-Mediterranean brasserie and Bar, this smart restaurant with its aproned waiters and blackboard menus now has an AA Rosette to confirm what the locals have known all along. Set in the fashionable Theatreland district, this is a feast of Riviera cuisine.

Oh my! YUM! We ate here for dessert not once, twice by thrice! And no, after the first bite, there would be no sharing, either. Delicious!

Brilliant experience here! Had a meal included in our cost for staying at the holiday inn, expected to be limited to just a main course but were surprised to find it was 3 courses!! It's from a fixed menu but there is plenty of choice and also the days special is included in this aswell.
Had the pâté to start, bacon loin with grueye mash and leeks and vanilla panacotta and it was all Absolutly beautiful and very filling!! Our waitress ( can't remember her name!) was brilliant! She was very helpful and was so happy and smiley!
The atmosphere is lovely in here with low lighting and music it really is a nice cosy atmosphere, you could come for a meal and sit for hours with some wine after!
Everything about it was excellent!

We had a great evening meal in the restaurant recently - 3 courses for two plus a decent bottle of wine for £45 represented excellent value. The food was very good indeed (I particularly enjoyed my sea bass main), and the atmosphere was great: somehow the number of folk eating and the general level of chat seemed just right. The fact that there were several groups of ladies eating there, plus some folk on their own, and a variety of age groups emphasised the fact that people find it a very good experience. Our waitress was lovely and all in all it was a perfect place to have our first evening meal out in Glasgow for many years.

Dined here on a Sunday evening after walking around the city looking for somewhere nice to eat. We took advantage of the 2 courses for £16.95 offer. The food was very good and the free rolls were a nice touch. It is worth noting that sides are not included and there is a limited choice of mains with this offer. The service charge is highlighted clearly on the menu but as another reviewer noted it would take a strong personality to opt out especially with such a stern faced hostess at the door! Whilst the hostess was stoney faced the young waitresses were pleasant, polite and attentive and the quality of the food was excellent. The restaurant is nicely decorated with excellent food and service and it offers a relaxing reprieve from the hustle and bustle of nearby sauchiehall street. It's just a pity about the service charge.

Visited on a fairly busy Saturday lunchtime. We had the croque Monsieur / profiteroles deal for £7. 95 which was good value. Service was good. Restaurant was cosy with a good atmosphere and nice and warm on a cold day. Croque came topped with salad and a side portion of fries. It was nicely presented and very filling. 2 profiteroles followed which again were very tasty and just enough after the filling main course. Would definitely come back .
