Description: Release your inner strumpet at the Kama Sutra, a salacious Indian on Glasgow's Sauchiehall Street. A truly tantalising feast for the senses, this intimate candlelit restaurant boasts a menu with titles including 'Saucy Suggestions' and 'Old Flames'. The exotic eastern cuisine includes favourites such as the popular karahi bhoona, and low-calorie curries such as the salmon and prawn masala. The Mixed Thali menu gives set menu options for two, or if you're feeling abnormally audacious, four. Popular for business lunches and parties, the Kama Sutra restaurant attracts both tourists and locals, and has a downstairs function room with DJs and a karaoke machine.

“Very good indeed - proper Indian”
Reviewed November 25, 2013 via mobile

Yes - this is what is needed, a proper Indian - not some ponsy herb on a banana leaf. Nice atmosphere, busy, even on a Monday night - cracking food. Popodums good, starter excellent and main course very nice. Lots of kingfisher to was it all down - beautiful - just sad I didn't try the Haggis pakora!

“Great curry”

Not much to say other than the mixed grill was awesome, decor and service aren't too shabby either. Will definitely revisit.

“Great Indian Food in Central Glasgow”
Reviewed November 23, 2013

Had dinner here back in October on a recommendation and I wasn't disappointed. Didn't have any starters, as I was on my own, but the butter chicken was flavourful and delicious and the naan had a wonderful smokey flavour to it and was huge!

Staff were friendly and attentive and the owner Asha took the time to stop by and chat and see how everything was, I always appreciate that attention to detail. I am returning to Glasgow in February and will definitely be back.

“Excellent Indian Cuisine”
Reviewed November 23, 2013

Authentic indian cuisine. Not had a bad meal yet. Although some of the dishes are westernised if you ask for authentic indian food it is fantastic. The traditional tarka dhal is excellent. Best I've tasted outside of India.
