Description: Release your inner strumpet at the Kama Sutra, a salacious Indian on Glasgow's Sauchiehall Street. A truly tantalising feast for the senses, this intimate candlelit restaurant boasts a menu with titles including 'Saucy Suggestions' and 'Old Flames'. The exotic eastern cuisine includes favourites such as the popular karahi bhoona, and low-calorie curries such as the salmon and prawn masala. The Mixed Thali menu gives set menu options for two, or if you're feeling abnormally audacious, four. Popular for business lunches and parties, the Kama Sutra restaurant attracts both tourists and locals, and has a downstairs function room with DJs and a karaoke machine.

“Great service, a bit pricey, but amazing food with individual character.”
Reviewed August 22, 2013

When we arrived we were greeted with a friendly welcoming smile, the restaurant has great authentic decor inside and the tables are set out perfectly.

The menu is easy to navigate and has a wide range of dishes.

Food and drink is very highly priced but the food is definitley worth it, the korma was rich and creamy but had spice with it which was a nice surprise, the rice was cooked to perfection and the naan breads were the best I've ever had.

If i visit glasgow again, i'd definitley eat here again.

“Skilfully produced food in bustling ambiance slickly served”
Reviewed August 20, 2013

Kama Sutra is in experienced hands, energetic waiters move fast, padding up and down the wooden floor delivering good food, overseen by a senior man who directs them like an orchestra conductor. He watches the tables like a hawk and dispatches minions to fill a glass here, take a bill there. The kitchen knows what it's doing with it's aromatics and spices, Sag baji was velvety soft with streaks of transulcent onion and the occasional sliver of pungent ginger and whiff of fenugreek. Haggis Pakora ( I had to try it) where surprisingly good with thin, light and well drained batter. Chicken with chilli and garlic was rich without being oily, a tomato based sauce with a good kick, carefully spiced and didn't feel like it had been sitting around all evening. The kitchen struggled a bit when about eight tables ordered at the same time, I watched a couple pleading for their child who looked about 18ths to be fed, the waiter spoke directly to the child and said I'm sorry, I'll go get it now, which he did, but his parents waited another fifteen minutes for their food. I was lucky, everything went right, I had a great meal served in a timely fashion by attractive and charming staff. When Kama Sutra get it right, it's lovely. Pay a bit extra, they are taking care of the food.
