Description: Release your inner strumpet at the Kama Sutra, a salacious Indian on Glasgow's Sauchiehall Street. A truly tantalising feast for the senses, this intimate candlelit restaurant boasts a menu with titles including 'Saucy Suggestions' and 'Old Flames'. The exotic eastern cuisine includes favourites such as the popular karahi bhoona, and low-calorie curries such as the salmon and prawn masala. The Mixed Thali menu gives set menu options for two, or if you're feeling abnormally audacious, four. Popular for business lunches and parties, the Kama Sutra restaurant attracts both tourists and locals, and has a downstairs function room with DJs and a karaoke machine.

the buffet at lunch time is quite something. the range, the quality and value is superb. Ideal no matter if you are escaping from work for an hour and in a hurry, or taking your time whilst enjoying the shops.

“Very enjoyable”
Reviewed April 4, 2013

Wanted to find a restaurant in Glasgow where I could use my tastecard at the weekend. The Kama Sutra would allow this on a Friday night. We found the food to be excellent with plenty of it and very tasty. The drinks were expensive though. If you are looking for a decent Indian restaurant in Glasgow, then look no further.

“Good service, nice menu options”
Reviewed April 1, 2013

Ate here after a show at the Kings Theatre, despite arriving to a very quiet restaurant at 10.30pm we were greeted warmly and seated at a nice table. The menu had some interesting dishes and was a bit more inventive than many Indian restaurants.
The food was all tasty and fresh apart from the rice which appeared to have been sitting from earlier in the evening and had gone very dry. The naan bread was especially good and the Methi Gosht was also lovely.

Dear reviewer, thank you for your kind review, i am so glad you enjoyed it, our focus is on regional cuisines of all india rather than a particular region, that is why our menu is different from many other indian restaurants. i will be speaking to the chef about the rice, thank you for that feedback

best regards

“Gluten Free Ingenious Indian! Wow!”
Reviewed March 30, 2013 via mobile

Sunny was not only the atmosphere and innovative menu but also the name of the clued up waiter who served us. Sunny recommended the gluten free pakora and ensured the oil used was kept clear of cross contamination. The DOSA was UNBELIEVABLY delicious (rice & lentil pancake) stuffed with gorgeous flavor.
Sunny stood by to ensure the food delivered was meticulously gluten free.
AWESOME.

thank you for your review,
we are currently working on a new menu that will highlight gluten free products with the help of a family friend with Coeliacs. This seems to be more prevalent in scotland than other parts of the uk, but there will always be some trace of gluten in any restaurant kitchen that produces other non-gluten free dishes, and anyone with coeliacs or a gluten intolerance has to be aware of this.
