Description: In a remarkably short space of time Dragon-i has become one of the most talked about restaurants in not only Glasgow, but in Scotland as a whole. In fact, this astonishing eating establishment has captured the headlines south of the border, having been named one of the top five Chinese UK restaurants in the prestigious Observer food monthly supplement. But Dragon-i is more than a traditional Chinese eaterie - considerably more - as the plethora of culinary awards testifies to the creative skills of our Scottish Chef Silver Award Winner, Stephen Man whose remarkable vision has turned it into an unforgettable dining experience. Their outstanding passion in creating a superb dining experience and a friendly environment with outstanding personal contact make any visit an evening to remember and treasure.

Great value, food exquisite. The mango chicken was perfection. The sweets brilliant (esp the cheesecake). Service excellent.

“great wee place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2014

six friends and i recently ate here on a recommendation from a colleague.
we had booked as it was 6.30 pm on a saturday.
from the minute we entered we were made to feel welcome by the attentive maitre de and friendly staff.
we had 2 courses and drinks and did not have to wait long for any of it even though the place was full.
the food was delicious ,freshly made and plentiful and due to our party size we had quite a variety from the menu with most of us having a taste of each others dishes.
it is billed as chinese contemporary which sounds good and is very good but i would rate it more as thai and a very good thai at that.
my friends and i would definitely recommend it and we will return.

“After theatre experience”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 9, 2014

Having just left the theatre we wanted to eat close by so the location was great as it was literally across from the theatre. Unfortunately there was only one other couple in the whole place so there was no atmosphere, the food was ok whole experience was not to be repeated definitely worth walking further to find a better venue.

Wow firstly apologies.
My name isRaymond I founded the restaurant in 2002. 5 years ago I left the restaurant trade to pursuit other lifestyle and business interests. Having witnessed the demise of this once respected restaurant I felt compelled to return and hopefully rebuild it again. Ive been back 7 weeks now and have made incremental changes to improve and hopefully regain our reputation.
Apologies again and thank you for your feed back as this is how I could gauge and seek improvements.

Ps we are launch a post theatre supper club soon which I would address the challenge for post theatre diners.

Best regards,

Raymond Man

“Lovely lunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 3, 2014

Visited Dragon i for lunch. Very nice food and lovely staff. The restaurant is nicely decorated inside too. A little off the beaten track of the main city centre but only a couple of minutes walk from Sauchiehall Street and definitely worth it.
