Description: In a remarkably short space of time Dragon-i has become one of the most talked about restaurants in not only Glasgow, but in Scotland as a whole. In fact, this astonishing eating establishment has captured the headlines south of the border, having been named one of the top five Chinese UK restaurants in the prestigious Observer food monthly supplement. But Dragon-i is more than a traditional Chinese eaterie - considerably more - as the plethora of culinary awards testifies to the creative skills of our Scottish Chef Silver Award Winner, Stephen Man whose remarkable vision has turned it into an unforgettable dining experience. Their outstanding passion in creating a superb dining experience and a friendly environment with outstanding personal contact make any visit an evening to remember and treasure.

“Amazing”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 8, 2014

This restaurant never fails to impress, it serves the most wonderful food, a sort of fusion of Chinese, Thai, with some aromatic South Indian cuisine thrown in, I have visited a few times, this time we were on an Itison deal, it did not disappoint. I had crispy pancake roll to start, my partner opted for the mussels,in black bean sauce, the plate was overflowing with mussels, truly delightful, I had the Kari Gai for main it was a lovely mixture of chicken breast, au refine and potatoes with a gorgeous curry sauce, served with a portion of garlic rice, my partner had a chicken and asparagus dish, which was equally appetising. The staff were attentive without being overbearing, directly across for the Theatre Royal, perhaps not in the most central part of town, but definitely worth a try, I will definitely be returning....wonderful

“Once again excellent.”

Another lovely meal at Dragon-i.Everything on the menu is so appealing that we were struggling with what to choose however after a bit of discussion with Scott my husband opted for the duck and was not disappointed.I had a chicken dish and as expected was excellent. Scott and Natalie are so welcoming and attentive. If you are looking for somewhere a bit different to eat I would definately recommend Dragon-i.Cant wait to go back.

“A bit, odd...”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 4, 2014 via mobile

I'm really not sure what Dragon I are attempting to do. They seem to be going for some kind of Scottish Oriental fusion food. Whilst this is admirable in ambition, the taste of the food is a bit lacking - actually quite bland. I had hopes that the black pudding spring rolls would be a taste sensation however they were just stodgy and tasted of little.

Interesting exercise: when you look closer at the menu, most dishes are just English ones with far East sounding names. Chocolate brownie and ice cream for example.
