Description: The Mussel Inn is one of Glasgow’s première restaurants. Despite the name, our restaurant offers a much wider variety of food than just Scottish West Coast mussels served with our unique and delicious range of sauces. Our seafood dishes also include Creamy Seafood Chowder, Grilled King Scallops and Queen Scallops, Scottish oysters, and our amazing seafood platter (Mini Seafood Platter also available).

We visited the Mussel Inn on a Sunday night in November and whilst the food was (just) ok, there was practically no atmosphere as the restaurant was so quiet. We were in and out in under an hour and given the prices we paid we would have expected our evening to last a whole lot longer. Not their fault, of course, that they were so quiet but they could have perhaps provided some ambience with music and given us longer between courses? We would return, I think, but on a busier night.

had a meal here when i was in glasgow for work as it was recommended by colleagues. The colleagues were spot on! An absolutely superb half of blue cheese and bacon mussels, caesar salad and seafpod chowder to start. Amazing and good value.

We had not been to the mussel inn for a couple of years and we were not let down by our latest visit. Arriving just after 5pm we both chose the pre theatre menu that offers real value for money. My wife had the salmon spring rolls to start and they were sublime , i had the chowder it could have done with more chunks of fish but was very nice none the less. 1\2 KILO mussels for main didnt dissapoint and my wifes fish and chips were equally enjoyed particularly the homemade tarter sauce and the chips were cooked to perfection.

Atmoshphere only marked down due to it being early.

The service was faultless both friendly and efficient so it seems the mussel inn has managed to keep up its high standards.
