I saw many reviews about that restaurant, so thought to give it a try. Went there with my husband over dinner and had the lemon sole. It was okay. I can cook it at home with almost the same or even better quality. The atmosphere is nice and cozy but nothing fancy.
Go only if you have to!

“Would have been 5 stars, but...”

Lovely intimate atmosphere, excellent quality seafood, but the cherry stone which almost broke my tooth in the dessert would have failed any Masterchef challenge...otherwise excellent.

“Simply stunning.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 24, 2013

This was our first visit, and after sampling the atmosphere, the service, and the food, we were mystified as to why we had missed so many opportunities to dine here. The food was delicious to look at, and there isn't a word in the dictionary to describe how good the taste was. It was expensive, but to receive such a gastronomic delight was absolutely worth it. Wonderful place for any sort of celebration, or an intimate lunch or dinner. Perfect.

“A beautiful restaurant with excellent seafood in Glasgow city”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 16, 2013 via mobile

I found the restaurant ambience really beautiful and cozy, and the food excellent. It is certainly the best seafood I have had this trip to Glasgow. The fish, crab meat and prawn dumpling soup is amazing, I truly recommend this starter. Try also the tartare of branded sea bream starter, it is very good too. For the main course I recommend the whole roasted line caught sea bass with shrimps or the half Scottish lobster Thermidor, both were really excellent. The desserts we had were very nice especially the fresh strawberries and raspberries with vanilla ice cream, though I found the frozen chocolate cake that came with the mascarpone caramel and chocolate sauce a bit too rich. Gamba is a must try seafood restaurant if you have only restaurant to visit in Glasgow city.

“Gamba is the best”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 14, 2013

The service was first class. The meals were the best seafood we had on the entire trip. The restaurant had very good ambiance. We even purchase an autographed copy of the chef's cook book.
