Description: Unlike other Middle Eastern food, Persian cuisine has a flavour all of its own. It is exotic yet simple, made with a delicate balance of sweet and sour, hot and cold and flavours that are so subtle in taste, they will leave your palette curious for more. Here at Sholeh, we use only the finest and freshest of herbs, spices, fruits, flowers and ground roots to give our cuisines the delicate aroma,

We decided to try this restaurant given it's favorable reviews on Tripadvisor, We were not disappointed. Turns out the restaurant has only been open about 5 months, but the chef is doing some great cooking. We especially enjoyed the noodle soup, which is full of lentils and fresh herbs -- it's not a carbohydrate load - and we loved the platter of kebabs for two people. The flavors were not entirely familiar, but delicious. The restaurant is in a somewhat gritty location across the river from downtown, but an easy walk if you are already close to the river. If you go for dinner before 7 PM -- which we did not -- there is a special two course meal for about 8 pounds.

Dine here with a few friends on a Tuesday night and it was busy. First time trying this restaurant and it was brilliant. Especially the lamb chops & lion of lamb, just so tender and perfectly cooked. Already planning my next visit. And a special mention to our server Alexsandra. She look after us the whole night. Always a smile on her face.
Hope this restaurant keeps to its standard as through word of mouth people will travel to this wee gem.

We dipped in here having got lost in Glasgow trying to get to Hampden Park. We have eaten Persian food before in London and other cities so when we saw a deal that was 2 courses for £7.95 we thought we would chance it and hope that was ok. Well what a surprise, the restaurant was genuine Iranian (doesn't serve alcohol) well decorated and good service. We went off the set menu and the food was amazing. Freshly made, very tasty and good sized portioned that did not leave us hungry. You MUST try the home made naan breads and the salads d'olivier as a starter. This restaurant was great and it is a real shame that we won't be able to go back due to it being 250 miles from where we live! If you like genuine Persian food, freshly made and served in a nice modern restaurant setting then go there, go there, go there!

Return to the best hidden gem in Glasgow. First visit to the restaurant was good. Second visit was outstanding.
We started of with Calamari. Fresh and very tasty. Partner likes olives tried Zeytun Sholeh. She said olives where outstanding. We both had Shishlik. Five lovely fresh grilled lamb chops. Very tasty. Partner finished of with a Sholeh Majoon. Ice cream nuts and pineapple. Amazing where her words. Cant praise the waitress enough for her attention and chats.
Again top marks to the Sholeh Restaurant.
Cant wait till next visit.
