Lock 27 has an outside eating area and a friend and I stopped here for lunch on a warm day.
I was seriously disappointed by the food and the portion sizes.
We had steak pie, chips and veg and neither of us felt we had value for money.
The steak ie consisted of an average size piece of pastry which covered a meagre amount of meat.
The veg was horrendous-very hard and virtually inedible.
The limited amount of chips wouldn't have filled a child let alone an adult.
I definitely wouldnt eat here again which is a shame as the atmosphere was convivial.

My friends and I visited Lock 27 for a pint and a bite to eat but immediately wished we hadn't bothered. The service was perfunctory and unfriendly at best, you could make a better burger at home (the cheese was of the sliced processed type) and the price of the beer was eye watering. To top it all the waitress watched us finish our meal and asked us to vacate the table immediately as it was reserved (there was no sign on the table). Never again

This is a great wee pub to visit when the weather is nice. The pub is beside the canal with lots of seats outside and is a nice place to chill out.
