I booked a disabled room, and asked for an extra bed to be put in. The lovely girl on the desk phoned me on the evening prior to my stay and asked if I would prefer a disabled room with two single beds. Wonderful! her welcome the next night was genuine and helpful, she had made sure prior to our arrival the heating had been switched on. All the staff we met in the hotel and in the pub next door were helpful and kind.
The room was clean, fresh and comfortable. The heating could have been a bit warmer-I turned it up as far as it could go but it was still not very warm.
All in all i would recommend this Premier Inn for its warmth of it's welcome and approach.

The rooms are a little tired but in true Premier Inn style the rooms are clean and the beds are comfy.
The only downside is the yale locks on the doors mean its very noisy first thing on a morning with early risers having to slam doors in order to lock them.

The restaurant attached has good quality, good value for money food sourced from the local area.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the motorway.

Appreciate this hotel is being refurbished, but still one of the worst Premier Inns I have stayed in. A 'family' room turned out to be one suitable for disabled. Arrived at 10pm and the room was freezing cold - the heater was not on at all. The bathroom was therefore much bigger, but had no heating - freezing cold. There was used silicone sealant on the floor and the hand wash was in a half-opened bottle (apparently the dispensers kept breaking). On the table in the room, the builders had left some threaded rod and a few washers and, during the night, the RHS curtain pole came down. Worst of all, was the smell of cigarette smoke in the outside corridor - this in a non-smoking hotel and in a 'family' room area.

Staff nice enough and got my money back. Even though there is building work in progress, the room had not been checked properly. Remember, Premier Inn, you can't polish a turd!

Room Tip: Rooms away from the motorway will be best

Great location, fantastic staff, comfortable & clean rooms. My son & i shared a room that backed onto M74 - no noise on Friday morning but i did notice it more on Saturday morning. Wife & daughter were in another wing that was quieter than mine, but they were disturbed by a noisy family next door on the last night. They got that nights cost refunded as per Premier inn's 'good night sleep' policy. Car park can sometimes be busy with non residents using the restuarant. Excellent brekkie deal on at Table Table and if you're there for more than one night you should be able to take advantage of the special offer coupons you'll receive. Overall, the staff make this place - top marks, will use again!

Stayed here with my wife and 10 month old baby on 1st october.

Stayed here before and had a good experience but this time around was a different story. the receptionist was lovely and the hotel is like any other. but sadly had a very poor nights sleep because of the heat in the room.

when asked the next morning how our night was i did explain to the gentleman that it was awful and the bairn had been up all night as had i , but he was sympathetic but that was about it really.

would i stay again... no not until there are fans or some kind of cooling system in the rooms.
