Barrowlands are a fave of mine when an artist I like announces they're playing there *Bonus*
Entry is normally swift with a small Q - security are always friendly. You go through a metal detector on the way in and if you're carrying a bag then a quick search of this.
You head up the stairs to the first level where you can get merchandise - go to the toilet or leave your coat in the cloakroom.
Head upstairs to the next level into the ballroom - it's an intimate venue with standing room in front of the stage
The venue gets busy enough for a great atmosphere but never so heaving that you can't get back out for a beer or to the toilet easily enough
The beer and other drinks prices are reasonable. Temperature is hot but bearable. Small camera's have been allowed to the events I've been to.
At the end of the gig when you head outside it should be pretty dark by now - head over the other side of the road and have a look back to the Barrowland - you'll see the famous lights on!
Check venue for wheelchair access and any age restrictions to your event. First aid is available on event nights.
