Dont know where to start as everything was just brilliant. From the welcome from the owner Jackie, the gorgeous seasonal menu and the overall friendly atmosphere of the restaurant. i decided to treat the family to dinner as it was my brother birthday and due to my father ill health i didnt want to stray to far from home , this is where the dancing goat comes in as it is only a 10 minute drive and also we had just read the review in the herald. We were warmly welcomed from the staff as soon as we got in. the best way to describe the restaurant is quaint and eclectic, in otherwards a home away from home. The menu was well thought out and helped to show scotland best seasonal produce. i had the pork belly to begin which had beautiful stornoway black pudding in the middle of it, one word sensational. To follow i decided on the crispy duck leg, a dish i wished would never end. one thing i would like to point out is how much i disagree with the heralds review on the dessert as mine was beautiful presented with the flavour to match, definately no sign of artificial cream. Overall a great night had by all will definately return again and again.
