Description: At Zizzi we like to do things a little differently. We don’t do over-complicated recipes or 'scrimpy' portion sizes. We’re all about well-chosen ingredients, simply put together to make exceptional Italian food. Zizzi Royal Exchange Square is set in the heart of Glasgow's bustling city centre, just off Buchanan Street in the calm of Royal Exchange Square in Merchants City. The restaurant has taken over the rear entrance of the former Borders book shop and with it's feature neoclassical columns and grand entrance you can't miss it! With the restaurants stunning architecture and design features referencing the building's history; local Scottish artists have adorned it's walls with exclusive paintings nodding to the building and city's heritage. The restaurant boasts the first in house Zizzi bar where you will be able to choose from an extensive selection of wines, prosecco cocktails and Italian Beer. To complete your experience, you will be able to watch as your food is freshly prepared in the open plan kitchen with an authentic wood-stone oven as it's centre piece.

I always love Zizzi's and whilst visiting Glasgow this one didn't disappoint. The kids food is always healthy and delicious with such a great choice of extra veggies such as tender stem broccoli. The icecream with comes and popping candy went down a treat. I enjoyed the vegan ragu which is probably the most delicious vegan meal I can eat out anywhere. The pizzas are outstanding too. The service here was very efficient and friendly and the restaurant building itself is wonderful. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

I went with my partner and we had 2 pasta dishes, both were very taste but the spaghetti al pomodoro serving was tiny.

The waitress was lovely but the restaurant was immensely understaffed, only 2 waitresses on for the whole place - clearly terribly planned by management but the waitresses took it in her stride. Props to them both, honestly.

I’d recommend it for tourists to see some great architecture but the food is subpar and the alcohol is super over priced.

It looked quite busy when we arrived, but we got a table there and then.
Bought one pepperoni pizza and some rainbow gnocchi which is a special just now with sweet potato fries. The gnocchi was gorgeous and the pizza was loved by (10 y/o child). Then came dessert. I had strawberry gelato with popping candy and the 10 y/o guest had salted caramel chocolate brownie. Both were delicious and brought very quickly which was a relief since a hangry mood had hit .
We were in a bit of a rush to get going since we had a train to catch and paid in cash which was smooth and quick.
