Though it had been a few years since one of the Five had last been in the Red Fort and based on his last experience it seemed only fitting to give it a try.
On entering the Restaurant we were warmly greeted by 3 members of Staff, the Restaurant itself was not very busy for a Friday evening, although the Carry out was doing a roaring trade. A pleasant enough dining room with the usual traditional Indian ambience.
Buffet was the order of the day and very soon were served up our usual Cobra Lager, that is all except one of the Five who likes his water. No shortage of Spicy Onions or Poppadoms in this establishment, the waiter kindly topped ours up at no extra charge, likewise with the Savoury Mixed Platter which was more than enough and no scrimping with the first class Chicken Wings or Pakora. The Buffet table did appear to be a little cramped in the corner of the room, however with the place being quiet, wasn't a problem to us. With all the favourites present and a couple of Red Fort specials, there was plenty to choose from. The Lamb dish was very good, tender and cooked to perfection, one of the Chicken Tikka dishes had a very interesting and tasty BBQ flavour to it, anyway it was very popular with the Five.
Ice Cream and Coffee to round off what was a very nice meal.
On the whole we found the Red Fort to be a enjoyable experience, the Staff were very attentitive, courteous and friendly, so would we go back...yes we would.
