Very nice restaurant with food that tastes like at home. Very friendly and helpful staff. Definitely one of best polish restaurants in Scotland. Been there at least 5 times now and never was let down by the quality of food. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to try true Polish food.

I keep returning to the "U Jarka" restaurant bringing more and more friends of various nationalitites and all of them always love it! The rye soup served in bread bowl is always a winner, same as potatoe pancakes with beef stew - my favourite:) The steak tatar is also definitely worth a try if you like raw meats which I do. There is a big selection of traditionally prepared food in great prices. Plan your meal well as the portions are quite generous and if you take a bread bowled soup and a main might be tricky to fit a dessert also:) And its definitely worth to save space for desserts. The restaurant is run by a Polish family, has a homely atmosphere and its only £2.5 for a pint of Polish beer + a wide selection of flavoured vodkas for £1.80. It's a little bit hidden and perhaps should be advertised a little bit better. In general definitely worth to step off your way and paying a visit!

A hidden gem in Glasgow! I would never had known about this place, if it wasn't for the friend that took us. Its in the basement, but a very inviting space.

The girl that took care of us was lovely and welcoming. The food was outstanding, as was the Polish beer they served us. We tried a bit of everything, but the duck was exceptional! You must have that. I live in the States these days, I visited this place the same day we flew into Glasgow from the US. So to see haggis pierogies on the menu just made my day! They were delicious too.

If you enjoy Polish food, then what are you waiting for? Give this place a try.

We stumbled upon this gem when we were staying in a flat on Park Grove Terrace. It is in the basement of a Polish club and when you walk in for the first time you sort of wonder if it's even open to the public. The warm, friendly staff quickly showed us we were welcome! Menus are in English and Polish with lots of pictures to guide you. The perogies are delicious, the potato pancakes amazing, and the beef stew will make you want to come back again and again for more. The borscht is also quite good. They have a few toys for kids which is also of benefit for us when we dine out with our toddler and the staff was very helpful in making sure our little one was content. We've been back several times since our first visit and will continue to dine there when we are craving delicious comfort food.

"U Jarka" (At Jarek's) is downstairs in what is known as "The Polish Club". The restaurant is open to non-members. The club itself would benefit from an uplift, but the food and family friendly, informal, "folk" atmosphere of Jarek's restaurant is a winner. Jarek, his wife and family, serve traditional, delicious meals such as a variety of "pierogi", white barszcz served in bread bowls, potato pancakes with stew, trout in almonds....yummy bakes...the menu is in English as well as Polish. They have a web page with photos and menu. They will also cook any food you choose as gluten/wheat free, eg grilled chicken. Not accessible for all because of the steep stairs down, unfortunately.
