Have stayed in Premier Inn's once before and I like their formula; the hotels are clean, functional, decent size rooms, good beds and good bathrooms - and great prices. When you travel (on holidays) for weeks at a time, sometimes its difficult to get all these options in the one property. Will happily stay at Premier Inns when next we visit UK/Scotland. This Premier Inn is also really well suited for access to the Buchanan Bus station (just a 5min walk).

Centrally located, brand new hotel, so everything is in great condition, including comfy beds. Really helpful staff. Pleasant ambiance in the bar, we arrived late for one night, so just had a couple of drinks, and it was great.
Why pay more?!.....

A great few days - staff were helpful and polite, although there was some disappointment at the closure of the bar at 11 on Sunday Night. They really do need to sort out the lifts though - on at least 2 occasions I spent at least 15 minutes going up and down trying to get to my floor! it seems that the external button has a tendency to override the internal one! I had to get a member of staff to take me to the 17th floor having gone up and down and up and down and up and down according to where other customers were waiting We also had a problem with keys - the staff told us that storing them next to mobile phones was the issue (really? surely someone should sort this!) but by the end of the weekend, only one of our 4 keys would actually let us into the room - even the 3 replacements had decided not to work!

I don't usually feel compelled to sing the praises of budget hotels, but after spending 3 peaceful nights, on a supremely comfortable bed between crisp clean sheets, and waking up to a cornucopia of delights for breakfast, here I go... From the moment we arrived, the staff couldn't do enough to help: whether it was guiding us through the on-screen check-in, offering advise on parking and shopping or ordering something special from the breakfast buffet, nothing was too much trouble. The Costa coffee was superb too! Room was well-proportioned, tastefully furnished and well-equipped with a large window with views on to Buchanan Street and across downtown Glasgow. 3 nights, 2 adult breakfasts each morning and the boy ate free, £175. Incredible!

Stayed one night with a friend. Would have preferred two queen beds to one queen and one small (twin I think) but still better than one bed only. Room was pretty basic but location was great (end of Buchanan Street). Would prefer a "real" front desk to the two free-standing podium-style arrangements they had, which lends itself to a little chaos when lots of people are checking in or out. It also would be nice to have a ramp on the ground floor with which to roll your luggage instead of having to carry it up the stairs to the elevator. But I would still stay here again.

Ideally located in walking distance from train stations, shopping and sights.
great security, brilliant staff that can't do enough for youand their interest in helping seemed really genuine.
it would have got 5 overall but we had an issue with the quality of our bed that affected the quality of our sleep. We are not ones to fuss but mentioned it in passing at breaksfast and within minutes we were told a refund would be issued!
Trouble is we are now travelling in scotland and despite ringing have only received refund for the last night. Will chase when returned home.
please be aware this is a very tall building with 18 floors so make sure you are ok with lifts. There are 3 and very efficient but make sure you have adequate room cards because you can't get anywhere without, which is great for security.
we were on 3rd floor on request for a lower room, although not an issue due to soundproofing, the higher you go the quieter andbetter view you get.
As with many hotels its not easy to wash hair without having a complete shower, ladies be ware the shower is great but has a fixed shower head.
breaksfast well worth the money and not worth looking in the area for a better deal like we normally do. Evening meals good deal too.
taxi if you need like we did cos we arrived late on a saturday night cost 3.60 and took 5 mins from central station.
wouldn't hesitate in staying here again if in glasgow.

I had a great stay here along with my hubby on the 27th and 28th of June for the Glasgow Jazz Festival. I couldn't of pick a better hotel for the occasion as I was attending a Burt Bacharach Concert at the GRCH, which was only yards away!

The prompt self service check-in, was guided by a helpful friendly member of staff. We had a corner room, which was perfect, the view of Glasgow from the 14th floor, was amazing, watching buzz of people, all the way down West Nile St and we could hear the Jazz being played from Sauchiehall St, just brilliant!! The Hotel is very close to Buchanan Galleries, minutes walk away from major bus and train stations and close other landmarks, such as the 'Lighthouse'

The room itself was was very spacious, lovely crisp decor, bed super comfy, bathroom was an adequate size, but very clean! A minor downfall was the loo paper, it was hard, it reminded me of standard school loo paper of the 70's, the only redeeming factor about this, the GRCH had the same paper????
I paid an extra £8.50 pp for Full Breakfast which was, very good value for money; great fresh food; plenty of options to choose from and we were able to take a 'coffee to go', back to our room.

At £39pn, it was great value for money, but it was a pity, the Saturday night increased to £99pn or £116 for B&B, perhaps the Jazz Festival had some reflection on this. I did move to another hotel, for that night, to get more value for my money!

But overall, this Premier Inn deserves to be No 1 on Tripadvisor.. a great hotel, great location, great friendly staff and only for £114 for B&B, it's clearly a winner for me and I would definitely be back!

Room Tip: Ask for a room on one of the top floors and if possible a corner room that looks over West Nile Stre...
