Was steak night so for £7.75 had a steak with jacket potato and a gin and tonic - reasonable value and quality

“Reminded me of an aging Reno casino”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012

Loud, inexpensive, and run-down, I'm sure this place has seen better days. However, it seemed to be popular with the locals.

“Customer service???? FAIL!!!!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 17, 2012

Everybody loves a Wetherspoons, the drinks are cheap the food is good for the price and the staff are nice.
WELL...... If only that was the case with this one.
The ''Team Leader'' as his badge so clearly stated, was the rudest man I have ever encountered, We were there 2 days in a row, the first day for breakfast, he was miserable, blunt, down right rude and looked like he didn't want to be there. I was not fussed at first and though he was obviously having a bad day (as well al can) but when we went back the second day, he was the same old miserable, couldn't care a less, I hate my life, petulant, attitude, "Team Leader".
He did not look up at me from the till or when I handed him the cash. When I pointed out he had given my friend the wrong drink, he just glared at me and said "well its practically the same thing" Oh my, what great customer service and from a "Team Leader".
Wetherspoons should be ashamed of themselves allowing this guy to represent there company.
I will not be back and have wrote to the managing director! lets see if they have a better attitude towards their customers.

“Typical Wetherspoons Food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 14, 2012

Busy place, just popped in for a drink on way back to hotel to get ready for going out at night and decided just to eat there. Food was hot and portion size more than adequate.
