It strikes the perfect balance of being central enough to be convenient but not amongst the hustle and bustle that will distract you from your meal. “Sorry! But Overpriced & Over-Rated”
Reviewed July 29, 2014

Dined with the family during the games, resteraunt was fairly empty considering the volume of people in Glasgow! The air conditioning was set too low and the food, although tasty enough was very small portions for the price. Wouldn't re-visit and not sure why it is ranked so highly on trip advisor!

“Platter and patter”
Reviewed July 28, 2014

One of the tastiest Chinese meals I have had in a long time. Had a platter to share for a start, which was delicious, each little item had very distinct flavouring and spice. The star of our mains was the Beef and Asparagus with garlic and chilli, very very nice. It was a little more expensive than most Chinese restaurants, but an awful lot of them dish up generic protein in various colours of sauce, this wasn't the case here - nice spicing and well balanced meals. Quite a nice interior and setup. The staff were friendly and helpful.

“overpriced and not worth it”
Reviewed July 27, 2014

I was previously been here and I was very impressed. On my return trip (about a year later) I was less impressed. Food was overpriced, despite getting a 20% discount (on another website). I had the fishcakes and they were rubbery and not nice at all. Mains was ok but not worth it. Service was slow. Overall less than impressed and would not be going back

“Best Chinese in Glasgow”
Reviewed July 26, 2014

We have been to this restaurant twice with different people and everyone has really enjoyed it both times.

We have eaten from both the A La Carte menu and the lunch menu. The A La Carte has a great choice of dishes and there is something for everyone on it. The lunch menu is only £9.80 for two courses and also has a good choice of dishes which are the same as the regular menu. The puddings are also really good!

The restaurant itself is lovely and has a nice atmosphere. The staff are really nice and the service has been great both times we have been. On the whole the restaurant is great value for money and is our favourite Chinese in Glasgow.

“Excellent - I'll be back.”
Reviewed July 20, 2014

I thoroughly enjoyed my first dining experience at Lychee Oriental. The welcome was warm and friendly, the staff were attentive and knowledgeable but the food was definitely the highlight of my visit.

I can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu and hopefully provide a more detailed review with some pictures.

I'll be back.
