Up in Glasgow for a couple of days and booked into 1 Devonshire Gardens ..... one look at the cost of breakfast had us 'googling' breakfast in Glasgow - and, from the nearby hits we chose the Hyndland Cafe and what a choice! I had the full breakfast minus the black pudding and mushrooms and was asked what I wanted to replace them - never ever been asked this before. Nothing at fault anywhere; superb food and tea / coffee. Pretty obvious we were visitors but never felt uneasy, indeed, felt extremely welcomed and when we arrived the next morning it was to a cheery ask as to how we were finding things and where next.

This cafe deserves to flourish.

Thank you very much for your review! I'm so glad we were able to make your visit to Glasgow memorable and please pop back when you next visit. We do tapas in the evening, which you will see by our reviews, we are starting to get a name for ourselves for. We look forward to welcoming you back.

Had been meaning to try Hyndland Cafe for ages. Delightful surroundings, perfect service and great food! Wonderful selection of freshly made, tasty tapas. Particularly great was the salt and pepper squid, the chicken with preserved lemon, the pork, bean and chorizo stew and the tortilla. Great value too! BYOB at £3 corkage! Wonderful stuff. Would highly recommend, and I can't wait to go back.

Called in for quick breakfast of bacon rolls and coffee. Both were excellent but at 10am on a Saturday morning the quick bit wasn't possible. Lots of people in to get take away orders who appeared to take priority. The tapas menu looked interesting. I will try again when. Back in Glasgow.

our first visit (May10) : we had Saturday night tapas & loved it all! interesting, imaginative & v-veggie-friendly menu - bearing in mind this is a wee 'bijou' place; it isn't big but it is bonny.
Food was so good... piping-hot, wholesome, flavoursome & decent portions (we love to eat ;)
One tapas arrived pretty late, but forgiveable.
Reasonably priced & liked the BYOB option, it sure makes eating out more affordable.
We're not in the West End as often these days but when we are, we'll eat with you guys again. Best of fortune in your new venture :)
