“Good but pricey”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 23, 2013

Good day out with our 3 year old. Plenty to do (especially 1st floor) and she really enjoyed exploring and taking part in the Bubble activity (where she ended up inside a large bubble, which was excellent). There will be more for her when she gets older.

Costs is high (£30 for 2 adults and child) and long queues at lunch and entrance (though it was school holidays).

“Very good for young families.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 21, 2013

I took my four year old and he loved it. I think this place is perfect for 4 - 12 years olds.

It is a bit expensive for what it is (£10 per adult), but we purchased the 'passport' which allows access and free planetarium for one year. It pays for itself in two visits. Great if you live close.

We visited on a very busy day and there was still plenty of space and time to use the exhibits. I think most of the past problems of exhibits being faulty have been fixed. There are also free science shows in a small theatre which are well worth the wait. The planetarium is also very good.

We spent the whole day there and there is still more for us to see.

The cafe is reasonably priced but the food is a bit poor, and they are short of seats when busy, and is raining outside. There is an outside seating area also.

I love this place. It would have got 5 stars if it was cheaper.

I love going and the star show is amazing of it is to pricey for you, then get a passport it does cost a bit of money but then you get to go free for a year and departing you get a token, I go about 2 times a month so really enjoyable !!

“Great day out”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 15, 2013

We all had a great time. I had no idea that it was such a big place and that there was so much to do for kids! Our child (5) loved the water table area, and especially the air blower with the 'dusters'. She could easily spend a whole day here. The staff were really helpful too. We were very impressed and will be back! From my point of view, the parking was easy to find, the entry price was good value for such a long visit (there is more than enough to do if you opt for the main science area only at c£9). Loved it.

I took my 8 year daughter there and we all had good time and gained good knowledge. Just at the entrance, she had a chance to touch a snake and other creatures.
