Pleasantly surprised by the size of the rooms - very large - that the bathrooms were newly remodeled and nice with good water pressure & no lack of hot water, and the location was right downtown just a few blocks from Princess Square. Would expect to pay 4 times the price in NY or London for such a room half the size. Our first trip we had two rooms, the second stay we had an apartment with 2 bedrooms on the top floor. Only complaints: noise. Our first stay had us on the 2nd floor, and whomever had the room above us wore high heels and walked a lot, and you could hear every tap tap tap tap of her steps. Which wouldn't have been a problem except it was 6am. When we stayed at the Apartment we had all the windows open to take advantage of the cooler outside air, and were serenaded by the band playing in the club below. Luckily they were good, and they didn't play after 11 so no bother with sleeping. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it, esp if you have kids and need the extra room for all their accessories. Having the kitchen area was helpful, we didn't cook anything but the fridge was used to keep sodas & juice cold, and we did use the kettle for morning tea and coffee. Having fans in the room was a nice touch and appreciated for those who are used to AC and need a little cooler air, or at least some white noise. Staff were helpful in finding us a restaurant that would allow kids (some of the pubs do not have licenses to allow under 18) as well as get us reservations on a Saturday night.

This was my second time at Fraser Suites and this time I booked through Late Rooms and got the one bedroom apartment for £80 per night. Last time I stayed I was with friends and my only complaint was that there were really noisy floorboards in the apt. above. This time I asked for a quiet room as we were with our 2 week old baby. We were given room 122 on the first floor. The room was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed.

Parking on street is about £2 an hour on a meter (if you can get a space) or right next door is a well lit, clean multi storey car park that is half price for guests at the suites. This is handy for your overnight parking as its only £1.25 between 6pm and 8am but beware the car park closes at midnight. Just get a voucher from reception before going back to your car.

There are loads of bars and places to eat nearby and I would recommend "Thali" which is an Indian tapas place just opposite. Good service and great food.

The Fraser Suites Glasgow are excellent value for money if you can get it for around £80 a night as you get a big bedroom, great bed and a comfortable lounge right in the city centre. I'll be back for sure.

P.S If you fancy getting out of Glasgow for some even fresher air and top food then check out Loch Fyne Seafood which is about an hours drive north. Best Salmon and Oysters you can find!! Make sure you book a table though.

Previous reviews have said it all, The Fraser Suites are well located in Merchant City on the eastern edge of the City Centre, within easy walking distance of all stations, the main shopping area and many of the main tourist sites. Staff are very friendly and helpful, our request for something to make the bed softer was quickly met with an exta duvet put under the bottom sheet. Kitchen facilities are adequate for a short stay and make it possible to save money on eating out. We took a City Bus tour to see the sights as this was our first visit to the city. this hop on hop off service lets you get to the more distant sights like the Armadillo and Kelvin Grove at little cost. We would certainly come back here on any future stays in Glasggoe

I stayed at Fraser Suites with 8 friends, and have nothing but positive things to say about the staff, the rooms, the location and the overall service.

We arrived at different times, but there was no problem checking in before the person who made the reservations. The staff were very helpful with every question we had.

The hotel is very central, only a short walk from what I assume is the main mall.

There were several restaurants in the same street, both really nice ones and ones that looked a little cheaper. There were also pubs, which means that it did get a little loud at night, but only when the pubs were closing and people were leaving.

The room themselves were great - clean, large and modern.

I really can't come up with anything negative to say ... Well, except that the hotel should consider brushes for doing the dishes, instead of just sponges, as I find those a little nasty - not knowing what has been soaked in that sponge before we arrived.

Came up to Glashow for my first time there, and looked around many of the hotels on expedia, and Fraser suites kept coming up as an option..

So i booked into them and they are brilliant places to stay. So much better than a hotel and cheaper than what i was looking at the holiday inn. Had own Kitchen so did my own cooking and not eating out was brilliant. Was really good and was able to relax whilst away. Whole experience it like a hotel, checking in at reception, and then just given keys as normal.

Would really recommend staying here. Can be noisy with the outside traffic. But then, it is nice that in a city centre you can open your windows and have some fresh air. Also short walk from the stations and where the airport bus drops you off into the city.

Stayed here for a three night weekend break to visit family. Very good rate available on expedia, worked out at roughly £55 per night. For that you get a huge studio room with queen sized bed and wardrobe, drawers etc at one end. In the middle a couch, coffee table, tv and dvd player and desk unit with internet access, cd player/radio etc. Also a compact but fully equipped kitchen area with all crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils to create a dinner party for four! Decent sized bathroom with L'Occitane toiletries.
Breakfast and a gym was also available, but didn't take advantage of either.
Excellent location in the heart of Merchant City - bars, restaurants and designer shops all on your doorstep.
Staff all seemed very friendly, although I didn't have any problems, so didn't really have to rely on them. I asked for a quiet room and wasn't disturbed by external noise at all. This is definately a place I'd recommend if you're independently minded and don't need the extras like room service/shoe shine/chocolates on your pillow!
