“Fabulous night out”
Reviewed April 28, 2013

I visited the Gala Riverboat Casino with a group of friends for my 30th birthday. I emailed beforehand and was offered a fantastic deal offering a 3course meal, roulette and black-jack lesson and a £10 chip matching deal. As this was our first visit to a casino the lessons were an excellent introduction to these games and our croupier was very helpful and entertaining! The meal we had was fantastic! King prawns, braised streak and salmon were some of the dishes we sampled and we were very impressed by all of them. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our first trip to the casino and will definitely be organising a return visit!

“Friendliest staff ever”
Reviewed January 2, 2013

Visited the Riverboat Casino in Glasgow who have the friendliest staff with the biggest smiles. Considering they are on their feet for hours on end they still have a very warm welcome for their guests. Food was excellent and decor enchanting.

“charity night sadly let down by the casino staff”
Reviewed October 30, 2012

Sad to report that we attended the charity event for the prince and princess of wales hospice which was sadly let down by the GALA RIVERBOAT CASINO. We got there at 7pm on saturday night and were welcomed with a glass of bubbly which was great . At 9pm we eventually were seated at our table at 9.30 still no one had taken our order at 9.40 our order was taken at 10pm we got our starters. Our main meal also was delayed. The service on the whole night was terrible. Our group were happy to be part of the charity night however the charity was let down by the lack of goood customer service

“Riverboat casino”
Reviewed August 28, 2012

On Saturday night,my wife and I went to the alea casino as we are members and have been since it opened but on arrival my husband was told he had too much to drink which was nonsense as he had only 2 glasses of wine and we were both really dressed as we had come straight from a charity night out, after being furious and lodging a complaint,we then went to the riverboat casino on Glasgow clydeside and were made most welcome, staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for us,we ordered some pizzas which were amazing and so reasonably priced,I definitely would recommend going here on a weekend, atmosphere was great, will definitely be back and avoid the alea at all costs

“Very good casino, well worth a visit”
Reviewed April 26, 2012

The Gala sits next to the River Clyde and is well worth a visit. It's relatively compact with all gaming tables and machines on one level on the ground floor with a bar close at hand. Upstairs there is another bar and an excellent restaurant with views of the river where the food is very good and also value for money. There is also a long balcony outside again with nice views of the river and surrounding area. Casino membership is free if you bring 2 forms of ID (1 requires a photo, ie driving licence). Soft drinks are also free for members. The staff are all pleasant and helpful. Midweek is fairly quiet and the atmosphere is pretty laid-back and relaxing. Fridays and Saturdays are busier but not too busy normally and there is a nice bustle and atmosphere on those nights. Music played is usually good and not too loud which adds to the generally relaxed vibe.

The roulette machines available if you prefer these to a table are very good and technologically excellent with a choice of which wheel you wish to play. You can play a wheel linked to a live table or the automatic roulette wheel. Minimum chip stakes on these vary from 10p up.

All in all, a very good casino with an excellent restaurant for a good night out.
