We picked The Chophouse as the venue for a friendly wee catch up and we were all glad we did. We pre-booked our table so were seated immediately on arrival at a table in the courtyard part of the restaurant by the waiting staff. Service was great and the staff very friendly and efficient. The food was first class and the overall atmosphere of the venue was perfect. The prices are very reasonable and all in all the whole experience was brilliant. We will be back.

Thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the chophouse, popped in for lunch on a random wednesday to be served some lovely food by a very attentive, nice lad (sorry should have got his name :-(..only downside was the price of the beer 2 pints cost us £9.90 almost as much as our lunch..

This restaurant had delicious food for a very low price. We went for lunch and although it was a busy saturday, we managed to get a table outside for two without booking.

I had the pate followed by a beefburger with fries. Both courses were delicious and for only £7.99 for two courses, they were a bargain! The drinks were slightly pricy but they have to make their money somehow and the price of the lunch was a steal!

Considering it was in the merchant city, with a lovely location and a nice view of the square, I would highly recommend! The staff although busy always made time to check you had everything you needed.
