nice hotel in decent area of Glasgow, slap bang next door to it's big brother, a proper "full fat" Holiday Inn. This is more basic, but room quality, service, location, ambience is all good - one of the better "Express" hotels I have stayed in. Almost the same experience as the hotel next door, obviously the breakfast is the standard "Express" offering (scrambled egg, sausage, muffins, croissants etc ....) but again this is well presented. Parking is over the road in a multi-storey, get your ticked validated at the hotel for discount. I get these hotels through work - if I get a choice, I choose the "proper" Holiday Inn next door purely for the better breakfast and I enjoy seeing my employer spend more ( :-) ) but I have absolutely no problem at all if they offer me this Express. Reception staff really good and friendly.

Room Tip: An attractive cheaper alternative to the "Holiday Inn" next door.

Initially booked into sister holiday inn next door, however as it was fully booked and I suspect as we had booked 'last minute secret escape' break we ended up in a small twin room. However after enquiring whether any rooms available at the Express next door and offering to pay for upgrade the very helpful front desk staff booked us in next door, (for no extra cost). Reception at both the hotels was excellent and staff could not have been more helpful.
The Express was more to our taste and we had a very pleasant stay. Thanks to both sets of front desk staff for their excellent customer service.

Great hotel located in the centre of Glasgow. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was adequate. Hotel does not have a car park but a secure NCP over the road. The rooms were cleaned and well presented.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. We had a decent sized room. The only problem we had was that it had no air conditioning and the window would not open. They had put a fan in the room which did not really help as we felt that the room sometimes got quite stuffy.
Breakfast was very good with a large choice of food.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to write a review.

As you said we do not have air conditioning in the rooms but provide fans. It has been unusually warm weather in Glasgow over the last 2 months and this is why we provide fans for our guests who require them, as our guests and their experience at the hotel are of the utmost importance to the team here.

We hope to see you back in Glasgow in the near future.

I stayed in this hotel for 1 night ,it is located in a convenient location in the centre of Glasgow, only a short walk to all of Glasgow attractions.

The hotel is a budget one however the rooms, while small, are comfortable with the usual cleanliness that you would expect from the Holiday Inn brand. The hotel offers a basic free breakfast which is a great bonus over some other budget brands.
