I am a fan of the Filling Station frequently visiting the one in the Centre of Glasgow, this was a first visit to the one in Braehead!
There was 4 of us and were greeted by a lovely young lady, who seated us, the restaurant itself was quite quiet compared to other restaurants in the near vicinity!
We all ordered, and I choose the Meatballs, everyone else had a burger, the burgers were lovely, the meatballs were not, bland and not as yummy as I recalled!
We were checked upon by our waiter and offered more drinks, this would be around 5.30, we finished our meals and were all hoping for dessert, we were aware it was getting nearer to closing time, but we thought there would be plenty time for dessert.
We waited for almost 15 minutes for our plates to be cleared, as the staff male and female chatted behind the bar, our lovely waitress proceeded to count the days takings, and a young waiter hoovered around the hot plate! It took a while to get eye contact with th young waiter, to come a clear out table and were sad to not be offered dessert!
I was extremely disappointed in not getting a dessert, or even coffee as we thought we had ample time, but obviously finishing time was approaching, and counting money, talking super ceded the customers! We won't be back to this Filling Station again, infact the other restaurants Prezzo, Burger Co, seemed a much better option, just a pity our visit to the Filling Station didn't live up to our expectations!

Popped into The Filling Station for a quick lunch after hitting the shops in Braehead. First visit, and we were not disappointed. It is what it says it is, an American style diner with wraps, fajitas etc on the menu. Food seemed fresh enough and couldn't fault the service, despite it being fairly busy. We left fairly full, having spent approx £15 per person (including tip) for lunch and a soft drink each. It's not cheap, but pretty good value for money on quality and quantity.

Thank Tracey M

I have been to The Filling Station a few times with my partner for breakfast and lunch. The staff are always great, as is the food. Great spot for a break from shopping.

Oops just read some mixed reviews here after we had lunch today. To be honest I thought it was quite good, it was a bit quiet now everyone has returned to work, but we were well received by a friendly waitress Sharon. I had beer battered mushrooms to start and you could taste the beer in them, they turned up piping hot within 5 minutes! I had a hotdog with bacon and cheese topping, which was pretty good with the very skinny fries I love. Good quality condiments served, nice napkins etc. The menu did look quite expensive (sizzling Fajitas £15-18) and there was a previous mention of expensive soft drinks, but they are endless refills for £2.75 which I think is good value these days. Worth a visit, nice friendly waiting staff.

Extremely underwhelming experience at The Filling Station, Braehead. 2 for dinner at 6pm. Poor food, poor service. After a starter we had a wait of over 40m for main course which is really slow in a fast food style restaurant in a shopping centre.
Was advised on numerous occasions by server Graeme food was on it's way. After 30m we pushed him to check on this with the kitchen and he came back stating it was being cooked then, seems like the order for the main got lost. A server should check this directly and not just state it shouldn't be long now if he values his tips.
When food delivered the more senior staff person apologised but should have offered complimentary drinks or taken money off the bill voluntarily for wait. We were attending a hockey game in the nearby arena and ended up pushed for time even although we arrived at the restaurant over 1h30m before face-off time.
They are kidding themselves on that they offer an American style experience with service like that. It is expensive for the style of food on offer, and soft drinks start at around £2.90 for a Coke.
Only highlight was 20% discount off bill offered to season ticket holders of the hockey club due to a sponsorship tie-in. We are not the only fans not to like the food or service and we will each tell 10 others as you do when you get a bad dining experience....
