“Still a very high standard.”
Reviewed July 22, 2013

My most recient visit to the Merchant City Chippie in July 2013 found that the price of freshly cooked haddock and chips has been increased to £3.70 from £2.99 (no complaint here)......this being said the quality and service (from the lovely server June) is still second to none and I still think this is the best "Chippie" in Glasgow. Keep it up, I will certainly return.

“Amazing chip shop!”
Reviewed May 31, 2013

Absolutely love this place. The shop is small but there's a few tables for sitting in. One of the best priced chip shops I've ever come across, under £3 for a half pizza supper and I'm told the fish is even better value in comparison to other chip shops. (not a fish eater myself!)

“Top notch”
Reviewed May 18, 2013

Came across this by word of mouth but its so good had to write about it spotlessly clean with excellent staff , ordered 2 fish suppers (haddock) ,2 fritters, 2teas, and a pickled oinion for less than £11.50 limited tables but managed to sit in when we arrived their was nothing in the hot plate so what we got was freshly cooked and it was fantastic the fish and the fritters were crispy and light can't say a bad word about it highly recommended

“Best Chip Shop in glasgow”
Reviewed April 3, 2013 via mobile

This is the best chip shop I've ever had

Real haddock freshly made I will never get tired of this place it is excellent cheaply priced compared to other fish and chip shops which is nearly £5.00 merchant city chippie is only £3.40

Now instead of using my own chip shop I make the distant journey for this place it is really worth a try .
