“Ugly, modern, but sufficient”
Reviewed May 29, 2013

This was the best hotel for service we stayed at on our Trafalgar tour. Even so, I wish Trafalgar would get hotels that were a little more homey and less... stark.

We had decent connectivity in the room (which had been an issue all trip long). The room was large and relatively comfortable. The TV didn't work, but the fixit guy fixed the remote.

Our last day there, we were promised a full breakfast and got a slight continental service. Otherwise, the hotel was relatively just "eh". Nothing exciting.

It was close to a lot of stuff to do which was nice. I'd hate to think I'd have to spend all my time in the room. :)

Initially check-in to a standard room, which was no better than a travel-inn.
Upgraded ourselves to a corner suite which was an open plan studio style with living room / bedroom / closet / bathroom.

Disappointed that even for a 400GBP per night suite, the bathroom and overall furnishings were still very dated and standard.

No view due to location - view to neighbouring street only.

Breakfast was superb - and served in the room at no additional cos as we were in a suite.

Electrical voltage of the room was low, and experienced this when using the hotels hairdryer it shorted the whole electricity and twice the hotel maintenance had to come and repair this.

No parking but very efficient and prompt concierge who park your car in the nearby multi-storey for approx 20 GBP per day.

Room Tip: Very basic

Stayed one night at the Radisson Blu at the beginning of a cruise trip to the Hebrides Islands. Location is downtown about a block from Central Station. Room was good size and comfortable bed. Outstanding breakfast buffet with option to order from a menu was part of the room package. Staff very helpful and friendly. Would stay there again if I need to stay in downtown area of the city.

Stayed here for 2 nights in April. Hotel is ultra modern and very attractive with excellent location! As is the case with large hotel chains breakfast although excellent is expensive as is food and drink, however being so central the choice is yours! This hotel won't disappoint!

I stayed here for a night with my husband over the bank holiday weekend. Could not fault the hotel in any way. Excellent standard of room, great staff, great food in restaurant. Everything needed for a good night out. Best hotel in Glasgow by far!!!

In Glasgow on Business - this hotel is in a great location. When I checked in there was a problem with the lights, but they fixed it without fuss.

Breakfast was good... but the thing that let it down was the poor shower!!

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a decent shower

Stayed one night in this hotel reception staff were very helpfully we arrived early but there was no problem booking in . Room was on the 5th floor facing central station the room was very big everything was perfect mini bar was a bit disappointing the prices were very high Room was immaculate power shower was amazing not a lot of space to hang clothes Room was very quiet no noise heard from hotel or station cleaner in morning pretentious to get in room knocked on the door twice to see if we were leaving once at 9 30. Then at 11 am although we did not need to check out till 12 noon breakfast was served in refillable restaurant from 7 30 till 12 00 breakfast was very violently of everything . Will defiantly go back to this hotel.

Room Tip: We had a room facing central station but you could not hear any noise at all from the station.
