“Oh yes we did!”
Reviewed February 18, 2014

We went to see John Barrowman and The Krankies in Dick McWhittington even though we think of ourselves as sensible, mature adults! What a great show - something for everyone regardless of age - I haven't had so much fun in ages.
The venue is striking and spectacular but it's really enormous so you'll need to book front row seats if you want any chance of seeing the performers up close. The sound was fine; we could hear everything clearly and the 3-D portion of the show was a great feature.
Great covered walkway link from the station almost to the door of the venue if you're walking.

“rip off food”
Reviewed February 8, 2014

went to the secc for a exhibition,we went to the deli bakery for a bite to eat and bought two steak pasties, gobsmacked at the £7.00 bill, you can buy these on the high street for about a pound each, they were very hot so watch out ,pretty bland and the pastry was not cooked properly, the staff were not interested as i had to ask for service even though three staff were standing about doing nothing, the boy who served me [reluctantly] was more like a space cadet, would strongly recommend anybody going to this venue to eat before you go or make the effort to take food and drinks with you,we bought two sandwiches two teas water and a cake and paid over £15.00 for the pleasure, this was from the costa coffee stand

“caravan show”
Reviewed February 8, 2014 via mobile

Was at caravan show, went to park round the back as we usually would, but was told to go to new car park, to me it was a waste of time.no information was given where to park when I got tickets through the post. To me it was badly organized! neither myself, family member or friends that attended with me will not be back and also will not recommend the show again
Extremely disappointing

QDEvents, Managing Director QD Events Ltd at Scottish Event Campus, responded to this review, January 5, 2015
My apologies for the very belated response to your review of our 2014 Caravan Show. As organisers of the event, we rent the venue from the SECC and, following our own experience in 2014 and other feedback like yours, have worked with the venue and City Parking (who own the multi-storey car park) to improve visitor experience in driving to the event in 2015. We will have clear signage in place, we've bought out the multi-storey car park in order to offer visitors free car parking and there will be parking available to the West of the site. I'd hate for last year's parking experience to put you off visiting the event again, particularly given the new features and content of the 2015 event. Please do contact me personally on fran.mcintyre@qdevents.co.uk if you'd like to discuss further - and please know that we value your feedback and are acting on it.

“Shocking parking facilities”
Reviewed February 7, 2014 via mobile

I cannot understand how the NEC at Birmingham charges nothing to park and provides a free bus service to get to the exhibition centre and yet come to Glasgow and get ripped of for poor parking facilities and a long walk in the wind and rain (it rains a lot here) to get to the exhibition centre. Once inside the SECC you can also get ripped off for food and drink if you choose to plus the pricey entry to some of the exhibitions. It doesn't make coming to Glasgow a particularly present experience and goodness only knows how they will cope with the upcoming Commonwealth Games parking requirements. Not a pleasant experience.
