“Can't fault it”

We booked an overnight stay after a long flight and this hotel turned out to be a lot more than expected. Large clean room with huge bathroom, kettle, iron and board also in room. It is in a very central location, very handy for Cenral Station and the city centre. All the staff we spoke to were very polite and helpful. The breakfast was first class from cereals, cold cuts, continental style options to a full Scottish !!! With tea, coffee and juices. We paid £48 for a twin room incl breakfast and I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a good cheap hotel, we will be back.

My partner & I stayed here for 2 nights at the cost of £ 97 booked through booking.com.this included breakfast.
Staff were pleasant, room was adequate for what we intended it,double bed wasn't quite a double bed but done us for the 2 nights.Room was clean if not a little tired looking.but clean all the same & it was cleaned everyday with fresh towels left.Kettle with tea & coffee facilities ,complimentary bottled water & a couple of packets of cookies.excellent after some serious shopping!tv supplied & iron & board also in the room.bathroom was clean with a decent shower. Our room faced the Main Street which is a little noisy at bedtime but hey it's a city & pubs & clubs are open late so people are going about later if they are on holiday. If you are bringing your car you get a token from the receptionist when you book in ,to park your car in a car park a couple of streets away(5 min walk)this cost us £12 that was parking on sun from 1pm- tues 10 am.This would have been double else where & I'm pretty sure other hotels aren't so generous.Overall we had a good stay & it's location is perfect to trains ,shops restaurants & bars.If you want 5 * luxury pay for it guys, otherwise you get a not to bad deal here!

Newly done up but attention to detail lets it down , silicon not cleaned of tiles and furniture, screws used to hold panels in place temporarily not removed. The slowest lift in the world
, not good when you are on the top floor. Rooms to hot & to noisy if you open the windows., WiFi rubbish unable to log on tried several times with different devices, dodgy artwork. Good points, clean fresh rooms, friendly staff central location , good breakfast , reasonable price. I would try it again they are trying hard to bring the standard up. Good value for Glasgow.
,

Room Tip: A room at the back of the hotel less traffic noise, and you can open the windows.

We booked a triple room for a 1 night stay in Glasgow to attend a concert at the O2 academy. We weren't expecting much for the price we paid but the next day all agreed it was an excellent hotel and in future we wouldn't even need to look elsewhere. Its as central as you can get being only 2 mins from central station,we were a 10 minute walk to the O2 academy. We arrived early and were allowed to leave our luggage in a secure luggage room, once in the room there was bottled water, biscuits, tea and coffee making facilities,an iron and iron board and a hairdryer plus all the complementary shampoos etc.Its an old Victorian building with thick walls so you don't hear noise from other rooms, our room was on the street side and we weren't bothered by noise at night, the decor is slightly dated but we all thought that added to the character. The breakfast was simply the best I have had in any hotel, there was a contenental option, fruit and a full Scottish breakfast buffet. If you are looking for a good value central hotel I cannot recommend this place enough.I am already looking to book again.

Booked this hotel for a 'cheapy' overnight stay in Glasgow for £48 for 2 of us with brekkie, and found it to be really quite a pleasant stay. From outside, the hotel does not look particularly impressive, but once inside I was pleasantly surprised. Reception staff were very welcoming, The 'twin' room had a double bed and a single bed. It was really quite spacious and the bathroom was lovely. There was complimentary tea & coffee plus biscuits and 2 bottles of water. The bar area looked great, very 'olde worlde' with huge sofas and high ceilings. The breakfast was superb. Plenty of choice. The hotel location is brilliant. 2mins from central station when coming out via the Argyle St exit. Shops only a few hundred yards away. Bars only 10yds away. Nice Wetherspoons close by. Lovely bar on opposite corner as part of Radissons hotel but not as dear for drinks as Radisson's hotel bar. Brilliant curry house next to Artto hotel. They do a buffet which is really very good with loads of choice. Had a great meal in Aria café bar which is actually in the Artto hotel. Got 2 main courses and a bottle of wine for £14.99. Great value. So this cheapy overnight stay was actually great. Lovely hotel. Lovely staff. Great location.

We stayed at this hotel as it has great location and is very budget friendly. The room we stayed in was tired and ol. Could really use some renovation. The bed linen and other furnishings were extremely old and worn out. The only upside to this hotel was its location. Wouldn’t recommend it.
