This hotel is such a find...lovely rooms, close to the main railway station, helpful staff and convenient for shoppers, Rugby fans and fans of the wonderful architecture Glasgow has to offer
Rooms were s.pacious, bathrooms well proportioned with lovely big shower facilities, breakfast was more than enough to set us up for the day at Murrayfield

Room Tip: Rooms not on the junction of traffic lights are quieter so not room 325/225 as I was told the traffi...

We stayed for one night (Sunday) recently. We paid £44 for a double room including breakfast which is admittedly, very cheap. But within 5 seconds of getting into the room my other half said he would have paid double to go elsewhere. But...there were some positives. So..
Negatives (and maybe there are other rooms which are better but I'll never know) -
The bed is small for a double
The place smelt of pee
The windows were large and covered in bird pooh
The view of the small balcony area consisted of dirt, pooh and cigarette butts
There were barely any toiletries
The corridors are really run down and grubby
The room was small and very shabby
There was no parking outside when we arrived and had to park 5 mins away and walk - cost £15 for overnight parking

Positives
Its cheap
We actually slept well in the bed - small but comfy
Despite facing the front of the hotel and a busy road it wasnt overly noisy
The staff were pleasant enough although no-one to help carry bags etc
Its convenient for city centre

So, I cant rate it dreadfully - I most certainly have been in worse but if you intend to spend anytime at all in the room apart from sleeping I would say no (that said, if we hadnt been going out the smell of urine would have forced a request for room change but we were short on time). If you can afford more then there really are other places to go. We didnt have the breakfast so I'm afriad I cant rate this.

Stayed at the hotel again last night as there was a special offer on and we had a concert close by. When we stayed in November, we thought it needed some tlc and this appears to have happened. This time we were on the top floor and it was obvious it had recently been upgraded. This was a large twin room which was very clean and cosy. The shower room was immaculate and the shower cubicle looked new. The beds were really comfy and there was no noise, except for what sounded like a generator starting up around 7am. Breakfast again catered for every taste, with continental or cooked options which are buffet style. The staff are friendly and, as I said in a previous review, the hotel is situated ideally for shopping and also within walking distance to the SECC. We will certainly stay here again.

Should have realised by the price paid it wouldnt be.
The room was cold, windows and curtains filthy.
However, the sheets and the toilet were clean.
There is a wonderful lounge on the first floor with a small bar, cosy and warm , ideal place to curl up with a book.. The breakfast..oh dear.. self service buffet..the food was cold, the orange juice was watery and the coffee from a machine. Needless to say we couldnt eat it..and Chips??? at breakfast !!.
This hotel has great potential, hope they refurb it. as the location is perfect.

I stayed here for 1 night on 05 March 2013. I walked in off the street and asked for a single room, I was given a double for £39. The room was ok with ensuite facilities with a really good shower, TV in the room, there was also tea/coffeee making facilites with bicuits and bottled water. The bed was as comfortable as you expect from a hotel. Breakfast in the morning was fantastic, lots of cereals, fruit and yogurts and a massive selection of a self service cooked breakfast. Lots of friendly and helpful staff in attendance. Great value for money!

Room Tip: Walking in front the street and asking for a room was cheaper than the internet prices!

This hotel is conveniently located alongside the Central station. Quite unexpectedly it is a quiet hotel. The rooms are decorated in a functional way, quite spacious. the bathroom is large and fully equipped. Staff is friendly, the hotel has a lift but it is quite small. breakfast is a buffet with continental and Scottish breakfast, it is served by friendly staff and the breakfast room is nicely decorated and offers a homely atmosphere. Real value for money!
