“Easy on the wallet”
Reviewed January 5, 2013

Super clean, stayed just after renovations, place had that 'new wood' smell. Breakfast was decent. Nice waterfall shower. Price was even better £99 for 2 people for 2 nights. 1 block away from the huge shopping area. Had to hop a bus from the airport, hotel was about 3 blocks down from the bus stop. Only complaints, place was a bit hard to find only because of the small entrance, the flooring in the general areas were 'spongey' like they overlaid the new carpet over the old, and the windows were pretty thin, so you could hear everything from the street. I'd stay again though, just bring ear plugs.

Basic hotel just 5 minutes walk from central station. Lift and Bar. Comfortable meeing area. An ideal hotel for central Glasgow at a reasonable cost. £42 for double with breakfast included. We will definately use this place again. Even managed to check in early.

Room Tip: Basic serve yourself breakfast included

Just returned from a 2 night hogmanay break at this hotel. Having read other reviews I found this hotel to be good value for money. The room was clean and tidy very warm and a comfortable bed the staff pleasant and helpful yes there was noise during the night it was hogmanay maybe a room at the rear of the hotel would have been less noisy. The breakfast very good with a wide choice of items kept hot but not dried up. When booking in ask about offer on car parking at £6 for 24 hours a big reduction in normal chargers. This was our 2nd stay here and we will return in the future.

Room Tip: Ask for a refurbished room.

Just arrived back from this hotel today to spend New Year in lovely Glasgow for change of scenery, as myself and my boyfriend are from Cumbria.
Firstly we arrived at the hotel expecting the 'warm Scottish welcome' we were promised, none of the staff being Scottish or merely welcoming. One member of staff stating quite clearly that she ‘hated bagpipes’.
The hotel itself was tired and had a 70's look about in, not at all as grand as the pictures online showed. We went to our room using the extremely small, slow lift to the 4th floor. As we entered the room it was freezing, but the window was unable to close, it was jammed open, with a view of a derelict old building opposite. There was a large gap under the door to the room, which you could easily stick your foot out of. As we were rushing I jumped in the trickling shower which was not powerful at all so I was unable to wash my hair, there was a large dent in the bathroom door and the loft hatch on the bathroom ceiling was loose and there was a cold breeze coming in from the loft, which you could see into. We went for our meal and when we came back we asked for the code in order to access the free internet, but when we tried it did not work. The TV did not work which was disappointing considering we did not go out for New Year and wanted to watch the celebrations on telly. We complained in the morning but the manager was very abrupt and told us we complained too late and no refund will be given, basically 'tough'! We were not told that we had to leave the room by 10.30 am, but manager stated that he called all of the rooms to inform us, he did not! So we were charged 10 pounds for leaving late, but not everyone was asked to pay it. We gave him 20 pounds and once we left we realised we did not get change, so we went back and on complaining again we were reluctantly refunded the 20 pounds, but not the price of stay! Absolutely awful nights sleep and felt grotty on leaving, I would not recommend this awful hotel to anyone, Pictures have been posted to show what it is really like! AVOID!

This is a lovely budget hotel in the centre of Glasgow. The rooms are really spacious & have everything you need for a very comfortable stay. The beds are amazingly comfortable. The breakfast is self service & has a really good selection.

The rooms have lovely thick curtains which keep out the light & rooms are really quiet. Overall it's a really good hotel & excellent value for money (£44 per night for 2 with breakfast )

My husband and I booked on a website on the morning of 27th, we decided to head to Glasgow for a bit of shopping and few drinks we arrived at the hotel check in was quick and on to our room, basic but had everything you need, attention to detail in the cleanliness of bathroom could have been better.
The breakfast was ok, however although check out was 10.30 we received a knock on our door 10.25 to ensure we were leaving, we were actually on way out. Good for a one night stay and at a deal of £44 for the 2 of us was worth the money.

Don't judge a book by its cover. This is a perfectly adequate hotel in terms of bedroom facilities. The location is ideal, very near to Central Station and in he heart of the Financial Services District.

Room Tip: Front rooms noisier as facing busy street.
