Had Sunday lunch here today. Welcoming and friendly staff who don't rush you and solid home cooked Italian food which is good value. Antipasto de casa is a good way to start and one portion easily feeds three. All enjoyed our pastas and the house tiramisu is light and recommended. All in all a solid neighbourhood restaurant ideal for lunch or for a night when you just can't be bothered cooking. Mercifully they have also turned up the heating from the time when canasta was here.

This is a lovely cosy italian restaurant run bt Italians! You are made to feel welcome right from the start. This is not too big so that it feels like a canteen. Nice atmosphere with interesting decor.

Would be happy to go again and recommend to everyone

Amazing food, service, atmosphere and value. We sort missed Canasta after the chef left for new pastures and we felt reluctant to give the new owners a try after being refused a booking on a Friday because they close the kitchen at ten and then we were turned away another evening due to the early flooding time. But when we finally managed to get a table it really was worth our perseverance. The antipasti starter to share was so huge I but tat out laughing and the lasagne and spicy sausage pastas were both so tasty we took half home so we could also fit in some of the tasty looking deserts on display. Staff were also fantastic. Just wish they we're open a bit later at the weekend.

Small intimate and with a fabulous menu at very reasonable prices. What is special is the front of menu explaining their origins in Italy and the determination to produce at the table the very best of Italian food the way it is cooked at their homes. I have no hesitation in recommending this gem for the best tasting dishes I have had in any Italian restaurant 10/10. The welcome was wonderful and calm , attention to detail superb and the fun at dessert when my son received hisTiramasu with two candles and a birthday song from the charming waiters. All four of us were amazed at how all courses were notably flavoursome and special. This is a find of the century.

Visiting my son at uni in Glasgow with my mum and was looking for somewhere to go for a meal which we would all enjoy. All I can say is that the reviews were spot on. Our table was ready and waiting for us. Although it was a busy Friday night, we were never made to feel hurried. The ambiance is great with friendly, welcoming staff who explained the specials clearly and were very attentive without being annoying. My son liked it so much he wants to go back for his graduation celebration.
