The Chinatown restaurant is a wonderful chinese family restaurant. Most customers are Chinese, which says it all. The menu is extensive and well priced, the choices of wine and beers are ranged at the right level - good quality, priced well, and if you want to impress, they have an expensive wine list as well, but it is not needed.

went there on a Friday for lunch. portions are really big, we ordered way too much... the dim sum dumplings were pretty good, the xo sauce beef rice noodles were really good! only downside was that the dishes were overly oily
food was authentic cantonese, would recommend if you're in the area but not sure if it's worth the extra trip (which we did as a side trip from edinburgh)

Have been here many times over the years mostly on a weekend afternoon with family for the excellent dimsum selection.

There is no cart here so everything is cooked to order and therefore delivered fresh to your table.

Highlights include the king prawn and chive dumpling, deep fried squid cake and cheung fung selection.

5 stars for food but a star dropped for the cleanliness of the toilets (passable but you'd expect more given the rest of the experience.

Went for lunch on a wet Wednesday. Full. We were only non Chinese (or oriental) customers. Got to be a good sign. Setting is inauspicious under a fly over in north west city center of Glasgow but seriously just go and eat. Brilliant.

The best Chinese meal I have ever had...by a long way! This restaurant knows what they are doing. I had steamed Prawn Dumplings to start followed by King Prawns Salad Cream, stunning, really! Salad Cream may not be the first thing that you would put with your prawns but you must try it. Chinatown Restaurant appeals to both Europeans and Chinese, the restaurant menu is written in both as their clients require. Forget your usual Chinese restaurant, make the effort to try this one and I bet you will be happy you did.
