We've dined in a few Italian Restaurants in Glasgow and this is definitely top of our favourite list. Best of all this restaurant has the freshest food we've ever tasted and we know no matter what we order it's going to be top notch. The service is always friendly and efficient with nothing being too much bother. We also enjoy a good bottle of Sauvignon Blanc and Teatro has one of the best we've tasted. We would highly recommend this restaurant and suggest you try it for yourself to see how great it is.

Dined yesterday as part of the 3 course, bottle of wine deal. First class value. Food very good and service fantastic. Thought about cancelling when I saw previous reviews but glad I did'nt. My only complaint was tiramisu was a bit stodgy, however, Mrs A enjoyed it so it might just be me.
Nice touch having a guitarist but don't hide him away on the stairs where you cannot hear him.

Went with family after a matinee at the Kings which we had really enjoyed so were in a really good mood.
Like a few other people who have posted reviews, the waiter seemed to not know about our booking and it took a while before it was found and we were shown to a table.
The staff were pleasant, even a little overattentive - I don't like being asked how my food is while I am eating, in this case we were asked three times by different staff within a couple of minutes of starting our main courses.
The food was basic but OK.
Our main problem was at the end when we got our bill. we thought we had ordered from the set menu and wondered why we had been charged full price for everything. We had all had two courses - which the menu showed as costing 9.95. What we didn't realise was that we were supposed to have seen the small print which said that the 2 courses only referred to a starter and a main and we had all had main and sweet!! When we queried this, the staff were dismissive and patronising. A waiter sat down beside us and, with a very weary look on his face, showed us the small print on the menu.
We were so disgusted, we paid and left - yes we even paid the service charge much against my better judgement.

Definitely won't be back. Can only recommend if you like food that is not exceptional - and there are so many more Italian restaurants that do the same things much, much better.

Had a tasty Italian dinner here last Saturday evening and had a great meal even though they had a noisy group of woman in a table near by us but did not spoil our lovely dinner. Lovely lasagne and tiramisu to finish up, friendly service, small but nicely decorated restaurant, reasonable prices, will be back soon.

Please pay no attention to the negative reviews below. Just enjoyed a fantastic meal at Teatro. We almost cancelled our booking after reading the reviews below but decided to take a chance and give it a try, so glad we did, food was amazing, staff very friendly and helpful and atmosphere was great. Yes they didn't have our booking when we arrived but this was not a problem and we were seated in less than 5 mins. Food full of flavor and recommend the anti pasta sharing platter for 2 as a starter, sea bass was cooked to perfection and tasted wonderful. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable experience and will be going back. Definitely brought back great memories of Italy!
